Both.

2021-01-07 09:35:46 UTC

ok, let me rephrase... Were any of the people that were shot by the police armed and using deadly force?

2021-01-07 09:36:47 UTC

I couldn’t say...I know a lady was shot. It’s extremely sad. Let’s leave this one at that...

2021-01-07 09:37:30 UTC

Also, if Biden has less regard for the constitution then we're in an even worse position than we were. You see, think of the constitution like a castle. The keep is where all the human rights are, the wall and moat are the second amendment. Without the defenses to the castle, it is vulnerable and will fall to siege. That should not be taken lightly!

2021-01-07 09:38:00 UTC

You want me to leave it at that when other people burned cities down because a black man was shot by the police?

2021-01-07 09:38:23 UTC

So what was with the running overweight cop with the extendible batton that he dropped and stopped to pick up? That looked like we was going to conduct an orchestra rather than keep security on this most important day ? Hard to imagine he didn't have a gun to stop the intruders at the base of the steps? Even security guards have guns - just wondering.

2021-01-07 09:38:53 UTC

Rubber bullets or the shot with so many clips circulating?

2021-01-07 09:39:21 UTC

You think Biden will take our guns? Doubt that will ever happen. Good luck thinking it will.

2021-01-07 09:39:24 UTC

I'm asking if there was anyone using deadly force that prompted the police to need to use deadly force??

2021-01-07 09:39:55 UTC

With a democrat majority house and senate and president/vp that want to make it happen.. Yes I do think they will.

2021-01-07 09:40:05 UTC

It's ok, Its refreshing we can have this friendly, yet spirited, chat here, even though we don't all agree (rare these days). Yes, I may be sugar coating a bit. It would be fair to say that his combination of faults make him somewhat incompetent (being naiive is actually a huge problem, in particular). He has much better reasons going after 230: big tech is monopolizing the information economy, if you'll forgive the expression, and 230 gives them an undeserved safety net. I did forget to mention that he does seem to react too much to criticism, so I wish he would ignore it and just shut up when his statements aren't helping anyone (one of the ways he shoots himself in the foot). But not respecting the branches of the government? Eh, maybe some of the executive orders went a bit far but he was even remotely as authoritarian as the media has made him out to be. I mean, maybe if he wasn't surrounded by all the two-faced handlers "may be" he would have more authoritarian urges being exercised --- an interesting policy I haven't considered but something I have no way to prove. "Compulsive Liar" might be true if you look at some of the fibs he does I guess, but to quote Biden: "Come'on man!", is there a politician that isn't a pathological liar when they have to be?

2021-01-07 09:40:12 UTC

What does that have to do with today’s events?

2021-01-07 09:40:20 UTC

Don't deflect!

2021-01-07 09:40:46 UTC

Deadly force was used extremely sparingly IMO, for the location.

2021-01-07 09:41:37 UTC

Does that make it right? Right or wrong wasn't part of that statement.

2021-01-07 09:42:05 UTC

Police have ROEs... Military have ROEs... You can't, even if you're a police officer, use deadly force unless the assailant is attempting to harm you with a deadly weapon. It seems these were ignored! Yet no one is pissed off about it.

2021-01-07 09:42:39 UTC

I'm not saying burn cities, or anything like that because I don't condone that behavior regardless. But there was no reason that I could see in any of the videos I watched that indicated that the use of deadly force was necessary.

2021-01-07 09:43:02 UTC

Nobody is deflecting...what does that have to do with anything? Why are you assuming that I support the summer riots or something? It’s you who is deflecting by not stating that what it has to do with the shooting today? Are you feeling okay?

2021-01-07 09:43:43 UTC

Yeah, this is why we are seeing a dangerous perfect storm brewing. The democrat party has not only gained full power of all branches, they did so in the face of a questionable election ... followed by another during a powder-keg of a political climate. And on top of that the Dem party has been far to receptive to the far-left radicals' insane demands. Yeah, this is all a horrible mess that is getting worse by the day.

2021-01-07 09:44:11 UTC

At least someone can see it.

2021-01-07 09:44:36 UTC

Remembering Orwell's 1984, true Authoriatrians have a strong propaganda ministry - in this case the main stream media - as Trump was never in control of a strong media supporting him (95% negative coverage against him) - he would never qualify for a true Orwellian Authoritarian villain IMO

2021-01-07 09:45:22 UTC

btw: I am being *very* charitable simply saying the Dem party is being far too receptive to far-left radical ideology.

2021-01-07 09:46:53 UTC

Exactly, I don't see how one could see Trump as ever being an authoritarian with literally the entire deck stacked against him since day one.

2021-01-07 09:47:58 UTC

Always refreshing! Big tech is definitely monopolizing! He reacts too much to criticizm...highlighting issues that one would usually not pay attention to.

2021-01-07 09:49:02 UTC

I mean lets be honest: has their ever been a president in the history of the US that has been criticized non-stop by the establishment, the media and press ... a mere 10th of what Trump has experienced? A 100th *maybe*.

2021-01-07 09:49:39 UTC

Translation: issues YOU are not concerned with.

2021-01-07 09:49:56 UTC

Orwell also warned us that true Authoritarians push censorship and surveillance - both of which the Dems have with the tech-left monopolies on their side

2021-01-07 09:50:10 UTC

Why are you here pissed of like I’m somehow not “pissed” about the shooting? You have no idea how I feel,
I made my feelings known earlier...so don’t come in with that attitude with me...

2021-01-07 09:50:18 UTC

agreed. once again: shooting himself in the foot. and he'll go off on tangents making me wonder ... why is he so fixated on this??

2021-01-07 09:50:38 UTC

like the infamous crowd size discussion

2021-01-07 09:50:44 UTC

When you have to block people you have to block people. lol

2021-01-07 09:50:48 UTC

Not at all...tired. More chat mode, toor tired to debate

2021-01-07 09:52:06 UTC

Exactly, like the drinking water issue & walking down the steps...I had no idea until he tweeyed.

2021-01-07 09:52:37 UTC

Fixation.. It's a powerful weapon when it is controlled.. Sadly, Trump didn't know how to focus his fixations. While it did us good on a lot of things, it also made for distractions on other things that made him look bad.

2021-01-07 09:52:43 UTC

Even folks on Trump's side have to be honest and realize Trump kinda goes down rabbit holes now and then. But he *Does* expose a ton of issues that seriously need more attention for sure.

2021-01-07 09:53:10 UTC

Trump goes down every hole 😆

2021-01-07 09:53:18 UTC

Disinfectant comes to mind...

2021-01-07 09:53:22 UTC

that's what she said ... sorry couldn't resist

2021-01-07 09:54:16 UTC

agreed - Trump has had a very thick skin to have endured that harrassement for so many years - others would have folded long ago at the torment - Totalitarian propaganda dosn't try to use logial reasoning - but emotional humiliation and shaming - I can see why Trump has to sing his own praises sometimes - no one else in the media will

2021-01-07 09:54:44 UTC

He also uses words he doesn't mean or is completely misunderstood but people just think he's stupid rather than thinking they misunderstood him or he didn't communicate what he was trying to say very well...

2021-01-07 09:55:00 UTC

That's one of the many bizarre things about Trump. He has thick skin on the bigger issues, but thin skin on the smaller ones. really really wierd.
