I am fine with minimizing censorship, if we can get back to being able to efficiently and effectively resolve libel and slander disputes. People should not be able to freely and knowingly make false statements so as to mislead the public or impugn the reputation of others especially one's opponents. Why should it take high-powered law firms and $1.3B lawsuits to get someone to stop making false assertions about a company?

I think the use of the word 'Communism' in America today is really loose shorthand for Totalitariansm - at least I have found more milage in using that term with people who would be triggered by calling lefties commies. It's still a form of "Us vs Them"ism - the truth is that both sides are unduly influenced by corporate interests. Keeping people divided by ideological, diametrically opposed media echo chambers serves to keep the public distracted and focused on the wrong things.
