Earlier today I was wondering about the difference between conservatives and libertarians.

I know more or less what a libertarian is. They're all about maximizing individual freedom, I think. Do whatever you like, as long as you're not impinging on someone else's freedom to do whatever _they_ like.

What I'm not clear on is how conservatives differ from that.

The easy one would be that we are mostly prolife
