If anything, I see the problem as a much deeper, psychological issue that has to do with the human tendency to pursue, and become entitled and addicted to luxuries

my idea is that both heaven and hell suck since, through a Darwinian perspective, we're only meant for Earth, and all which fulfills us is here. So either heaven is the exact same as Earth, or it's an existential nightmare, so this is the best we've got—and people could say "oh, but the physical needs of your worldly self don't matter in heaven, only the soul!" Then why is it that the worldly self can act for the place of the soul, and dictate whether it goes to heaven or hell? If my worldly self kills a human, that would mean it is capable of acting for the soul, so it definitely follows there's a correlation... Edgy edgy

As in, we are creatures that are created to have some resistance to our goals since that's what gives value to things, and things like knowledge have worth because of our mortality (which I'm too lazy to elaborate right *now*) so if heaven is a place without struggles, then it would be against our humanity, since a Will to Survive implies a *Struggle* to Survive, and that's what all of our cognitions are based off of evolutionarily... So either heaven has struggles and is practically the same as Earth (since it follows that our evolutionary means are directly connected to our metaphysical means as I said earlier), or it is a place that has an existential dread like that of nihilism and meaningless; so basically, this is the best shot we've got, and we should try to live well here on Earth before whatever comes after... That's a poor explanation but yknow
