If you get PhpStorm (from that app list) there's a symfony plugin that automatically creates entities, services etc etc in PHP

2018-05-03 19:27:58 UTC

Also for PHP previously I was using Notepad++

2018-05-03 19:28:19 UTC

You'll love it

2018-05-03 19:28:22 UTC

But basically for my thesis I think I'm gonna be writing a C# app

2018-05-03 19:28:33 UTC

C#/JavaScript not sure yet but most likely C#

2018-05-03 19:28:35 UTC

you get all the full features etc with it as well so you get all the fraemwork support

2018-05-03 19:28:43 UTC

with student pack

2018-05-03 19:29:08 UTC

So wait, Resharper is C#, Resharper C++ is C++, PhpStorm is PHP and Idea is what, everything at once?

2018-05-03 19:29:14 UTC

even if you stick with visual studio everyone says to use resharper on top

2018-05-03 19:29:17 UTC

idea is java/JVM

2018-05-03 19:29:20 UTC

mostly

2018-05-03 19:29:24 UTC

yes

2018-05-03 19:29:54 UTC

What's Resharper Ultimate?

2018-05-03 19:29:59 UTC

It's just C# + C++?

2018-05-03 19:30:07 UTC

all the tools i guess

2018-05-03 19:30:08 UTC

You can also download the plugins and use IntelliJ for everything insetad of multiple IDEs but some things like debuggers won't work then. So better get the single IDEs

2018-05-03 19:30:22 UTC

tbh I don't know all products, the C# IDE is Rider

2018-05-03 19:30:39 UTC

rehsharper is stuff you install ontop of visual studio

2018-05-03 19:30:41 UTC

for more features

2018-05-03 19:30:51 UTC

WebStorm is for HTML+CSS+JS?

2018-05-03 19:30:59 UTC

pretty much

2018-05-03 19:31:09 UTC

yes and RubyMine is for Ruby and CLion is for C and C++

2018-05-03 19:31:19 UTC

saying that you'll find pycharm, intellij etc have good support for web stuff too (html + JS)

2018-05-03 19:31:23 UTC

And DataGrip is a SQL management tool

2018-05-03 19:31:34 UTC

Does it support Oracle SQL thingy?

2018-05-03 19:31:38 UTC

idk

2018-05-03 19:31:41 UTC

I only use it for MySQL

2018-05-03 19:31:56 UTC

says it does

2018-05-03 19:31:56 UTC

lol

2018-05-03 19:31:58 UTC

Because I'd kill for local SQL functionality

2018-05-03 19:32:06 UTC

Since we also have to do some data bases in Oracle
