Interesting, I understand why you say that, perhaps it is indeed a more destructive force... and yet... there need not be degrees of evil. evil is evil. destruction is destruction. No good can be attributed to it so the degrees at that point seem redundent.
that is to say
i kind of agree
what leads to death leads to death
yeah
does it matter if you die slowly or quick? No. Death is death.
What matters is life
i see degrees because all degeneracy leads to the same place, its just that homosexuality is much further down the road of self destruction than masturbation
yes it certainly seems to lead to a sooner death
leaving less opportunity to come to life
i think the closer you are to sin the harder it is to pull away
perhaps
but also suffering causes death (of the ego) or can at least - that breaking point, threshhold of break or overcome...
Can lead to life
and enlightenment
realization
hedonistic people only repent when their hedonism begins devouring itself, take drug use for example most of them only stop because it threatens their life, and their life has no meaning it is simply "pleasure" for them.
dont get me wrong, I am not encouraging destruction
just pointing out that it can solve itself
ye i think most people who need to see death to repent from hedonism and sin deserve death
alcoholics dont care about those around them being affected by their disgusting habits but they do care and do stop when it begins to threaten their life
these are types of people i call untermensch lol
truly the lowest of the low
hmm
Redemption is redemption
i dont call clinging to life redemption
I would say achieving it implies that one is deserving (or at least chosen by the righteous one - God)
no I am not saying it is either
but again... 'lowest of the low' - degrees of evil. Yet we do not (as of yet) know if any individual is beyond redemption
If you knew the paradigm shift (tell me if you do) that happens when you observe yourself and achieve ego death
you would realize that even the worst criminals _could_ overcome and become righteous
likely? perhaps not. But the opportunity is there
mmm
what you call achieving ego death i call achieving free will and having free will isnt a pass to leave all of your wrongdoings behind, if someone truly repented for their evil- in my view of the world i think them committing suicide and removing themselves from the world is the closest they can get to redemption
if you realise you are unable to achieve freewill or to defeat weakness then you should commit suicide, die or remove yourself from the world
Did you achieve ego death?
not yet
but i believe i am capable of it
Aha then how do you speak of it so? :P
nah once dead one cannot do good
