these businesses aren't making money, they get insurance if they're looted though

so they can "sell" their goods without even selling them

the looters eat for a day

the insurance may not totally cover it though depending on the business

the businesses eat for a year

plus consider psychological effect, very unlikely to reopen your business after such stuff, and then the communtiy is bereft of businesses and services

a business will sue the insurance company believe me

those sorts of businesses aren't run by mom and pops

they're connected franchises

a lot of franchisees aren't that wealthy themselves

maybe not

and to qualify to own a franchise you have to meet conditions, usualyl having to put a good bit of your own skin into the game

but believe me a franchise is going to have more support from an insurance company because of the volume

who'd an insurance company rather have as a client, a bunch of mom and pops or one big chain

that's true, but just cause you can get back some from insurance is really not a good excuse imo because then there's the psychological effect, you're still very unlikely to reopen

just think about a lot of those businesses that are destroyed are themselves owned by black people and they're trying to do good, trying to provide their communtiy with vital services and goods
