It's perfect issue for both sides

2020-11-04 18:31:17 UTC

no both parties think they benefit

2020-11-04 18:31:57 UTC

Point being, blockchain or whatever doesn't stand a chance currently

2020-11-04 18:32:40 UTC

nah, technological changes take massive effort to implement to governmental procedures

2020-11-04 18:32:49 UTC

So I am just gonna throw out the fact that democracies are designed to last 150 years and we are going on how many on this one? I can’t help but feel this is a test of the fabric of our democratic method and is perhaps the most “tested” our democracy has been. <In my opinion >

2020-11-04 18:32:55 UTC

they're always very resistant to change

2020-11-04 18:33:17 UTC

I don't think it has anything to do with some deadline

2020-11-04 18:33:43 UTC

Technological change

2020-11-04 18:33:51 UTC

Internet

2020-11-04 18:33:54 UTC

Urbanization

2020-11-04 18:33:57 UTC

sometimes i think i'm getting a insight into how Rome looked before the fall

2020-11-04 18:34:14 UTC

I think people see patterns too much

2020-11-04 18:34:17 UTC

massive political corruption, excess etc lol

2020-11-04 18:34:29 UTC

The rome trope raises my skeptical meters to full

2020-11-04 18:34:31 UTC

yeah i mean it in jest really

2020-11-04 18:35:31 UTC

heh the similarities are interesting if you over analyse it lol

2020-11-04 18:36:09 UTC

just waiting for the gauls and visigoths to invade

2020-11-04 18:37:05 UTC

@TacitusKilgore I feel that our society is suffering from a lack of critical analysis so I think it’s okay to over analyze in an attempt to force some eyes to open 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don’t think you’re altogether wrong in the Rome analogy lol

2020-11-04 18:37:52 UTC

well the vanity of youth and the rejection of faith could be added to the equation too lol

2020-11-04 18:38:49 UTC

i don't know... i really want the U.S to set a good example for the rest of the world...we tend to follow in their footsteps to some degree

2020-11-04 18:38:56 UTC

I am going to just say social construction with a mean mass media to construct and push the views and beliefs of the people of this country

2020-11-04 18:39:08 UTC

this is the first time in my life i hope our paths diverge

2020-11-04 18:40:33 UTC

i didn't know you could like posts, pretty new to discord XD

2020-11-04 18:42:22 UTC

Hahahaha we have emojis too apparently 😂 I too came to discord just for the Gruler crew

2020-11-04 18:44:04 UTC

same lol... i've enjoyed his streams, most youtube channels are hyperpartisan, he's a straight shooter, calm, composed... better for your emotional health than some of the other doomsayers

2020-11-04 18:44:41 UTC

i mean im pretty right wing but i get sick of the same talking points sometimes... tim pool gets on my nerves lol

2020-11-04 18:45:18 UTC

im sure he's a nice guy but something about his delivery annoys me

2020-11-04 18:46:27 UTC

Preach!!!! I second that. He’s good for the explanation and teaching of our political system and constitution. I am a constitutionalist and therefore tend to identify as red given the current political climate and attempt at destroying my constitution lol

2020-11-04 18:47:15 UTC

agree wholeheartedly

2020-11-04 18:51:41 UTC

If there is one take away from this election, it's that pre election polls suck and the people running them need to be looked at

2020-11-04 19:03:45 UTC

@Manana that was the take away from the last election

2020-11-04 19:04:00 UTC

well, it was worse this election

2020-11-04 19:04:04 UTC

fair

2020-11-04 19:07:11 UTC

haha

2020-11-04 19:27:12 UTC

Just saw stat Trump won highest amount non white voters for the GOP since 1960. In the two elections that Trump was in the GOP got 15 more points for minority voters voting GOP.

2020-11-04 19:29:15 UTC

Funny that it seems the other camp ran their entire election surrounding the racial inequalities piece and it seems that it was ill fitted for swinging minority voters who flipped after Obama election due to the clear continued increase in this targeted voting population

2020-11-04 19:30:27 UTC

that wasn't meant to attract minorities

2020-11-04 19:30:32 UTC

they already had minorities in the bag

2020-11-04 19:30:43 UTC

that was meant to attract so called "allies"

2020-11-04 19:30:56 UTC

fire them up etc.

2020-11-04 19:31:12 UTC

Biden wasn't even that strong on that sort of thing
