That's my big problem with Democrats lately. I don't really like any political party but the Dems seem to be the ones right now trying tear down the checks and balances. Republicans have their own set of problems. There isn't going to be any salvaging if those things get dismantled.

I prefer the articles of confederation myself. Constitution was a coup. Didn't get ratified by enough states as was demanded by the articles.
