And I don't particularly mind if the citizens votes within the states don't matter because they weren't supposed to matter anyway
Agreed! Please leave only facts here
I'm in favor of repealing the 17th after all
I had to read through 200 trolling messages with zero facts. Only opinions
Actually originally you said you were happy that things are being done by the constitution, however you then went on to say the system is being used as it was intended, the whole point of my original post was to point out it is not being used as originally intended @Elzam although you decided to hyper focus on the bride part
This is the system that we have now so it is the constitutionally approved way
I might disagree with the changes we've made since the 1800's but that's a personal issue
But not as intended
Where is the "not as intended" portion?
Did you get don’t reading about how the affidavits were all spam https://lawandcrime.com/2020-election/trump-campaign-lawyer-admits-to-judge-our-search-for-evidence-of-fraud-produced-obvious-lies-and-spam/ @Repeat
I mean, you've been ragging on about this bribery claim but that can be done any year by any candidate
@Elzam, you just advanced to level 6!
Why doesn't the losing candidate do it every time if it's a magic bullet to victory
You realize the system can be abused right, there is the letter of and the spirt of the law. @Elzam something can be legal and within the bounds of the system but be abused because certain parts of the system were not designed to address all possible outcomes
Well that's why we have courts
I just can't understand why you're hyper focusing on this "possibility" which is a possibility every election
@Elzam I only used bribery once to illustrate a possibility and you are still stuck on that , that was my point by the way the losing candidate could use this loop hole if they hold the house and trump could set a very bad precedent for this
Well no, if the election results in a contingent election then it's system working as intended.
I use the word possibility because it’s a possibility that was not foreseen
It sounds like you're saying that all contingent elections are not working as intended?
If it’s legal who cares? It will get patched in as an amendment later just as we have done for hundreds of years. @james j
There are a ton of possibilities
Typically we ignore possibilities that are unlikely
It's possible that a meteor will strike my PC in 2 seconds but I'm not frantically looking at the sky
How is abusing the system that never considered that a candidate could spam the courts with made up allegations and try to convince state legislators to invalidate votes be using the system as intended? @Elzam
@james j, you just advanced to level 8!
I'm just confused as to why you're focusing on possibilities that are highly unlikely
I never said it was highly likely that trump would succeed
Well you can't spam the courts with made-up allegations
They'd get tossed out
It's a holiday, I'm just killing time while vibin
"it's trolling if they live out of this country"
Ho boy.
As the President's learning, you can't just sue your way to victory. Maybe.
If you go back you will see that I posted that the attempt by trump ( if R &R is correct) then would be undermining democracy and should be highlighted as an attempt of that @Elzam
Trump has been spamming courts with frivolous allegations
That’s why they all got tossed out except for like two
That was my original point
Well no, because what you're saying is
President Trump: The election was rigged, democracy was undermined, you need to restore it by not legitimizing these undermined results
You: The president is undermining democracy
To be clear, I'm not saying that the results are illegitimate
Based on baseless claims yes it would be
