MACA

2020-12-05 07:38:06 UTC

The "this is how I am, take it or leave it" attitude is the exact reason why I have grown to like trump. Yeah some of the shit he says is ridiculous. But he means business, and gets it done

2020-12-05 07:39:14 UTC

This is how discussions should be! Absent from all the name calling! All of us do it at some point or another when we have our "moments" of frustration.

2020-12-05 07:39:50 UTC

I would say I did no name calling this evening/morning.

2020-12-05 07:40:33 UTC

And same, watch the show! All of it! I’ll only then believe they you are open to research 😂

2020-12-05 07:41:34 UTC

Possibly... But for America, I think we need to move on from it. We are fractured and we gain nothing by rehashing that. It only breeds resentment and makes it harder to find common ground. I know that Trump wanted to expand to Russia. I know that when he brought the Ms Universe Pageant to Russia that there is a reported conversation with one of the billionaire oligarchs that told him he could be president and offered assistance. Those are rumors that might best be left rumors, in my opinion. (Are those the things you are referring to?)

2020-12-05 07:41:46 UTC

I will 100% watch it! Probably start it now.

2020-12-05 07:42:39 UTC

Yes, we should move on from it. But we should take all the learnings we can get from it though

2020-12-05 07:43:00 UTC

I agree... half our country is going to be really upset in the next 30 days unless we figure out how to bridge the divide and move forward.

2020-12-05 07:43:29 UTC

That along with the policies Trump has taken on the international stage & at home. But moving on is good for the country.

2020-12-05 07:44:23 UTC

Our entire government should seemingly have their shit together and be able to hold honest accounts of the past and hold responsible those that have created havoc out of self interest

2020-12-05 07:44:38 UTC

Agree 100%. Not a good look on the International stage.

2020-12-05 07:49:06 UTC

I know the title sounds ridiculous, but will you watch "The plot against the president" on prime to get the view from the other side, ie. Nunes, Jordan, Ratcliffe...? Maybe we can cross analyze after?

2020-12-05 07:49:43 UTC

100% thank you...I may check it out shortly. I’m always open to research and other opinions.

2020-12-05 07:50:21 UTC

Agreed... Policy-wise, he did better than most presidents on following through with what he promised to do. Some of those policies I thought were done for more or less the right reasons, but were poorly executed (i.e. the tariffs/trade war, attempts to bring jobs home, unchecked deregulation - making things more streamlined is good, putting foxes in charge of the hen house not so much). Some were ill-conceived and detrimental (Muslim ban, anti-refugee, child separation, the wall, etc.) and some were policies that... well, you get the idea - I try to look at things as fairly as I can.

2020-12-05 07:51:25 UTC

Me too! It's good for all of us to check ourselves both ways. It's easy to become biased when you only hear one side

2020-12-05 07:51:36 UTC

Agreed

2020-12-05 07:52:45 UTC

I will say that Trump is probably the worst "messenger" or figure to represent what i think he believes in.

2020-12-05 07:53:42 UTC

There is a reason why most politicians are very careful about the way they are perceived...

2020-12-05 07:54:23 UTC

I agree @TaLoN132 some his policies were definitely good and in fairness Obama started the deportation at the border (Trump manifested it into something else) and the “Muslim ban” was started by Obama...trump played to his base when he called it the Muslim ban...complete wrong none the less.

2020-12-05 07:54:40 UTC

Very combative. But I see through a lot of his BS hyperbole speak and think I understand that he is more in it for America, than simply for himself or his own agenda.

2020-12-05 07:55:18 UTC

Of course... There is a way that becomes too staid and boring.

2020-12-05 07:55:46 UTC

Definitely.

2020-12-05 07:55:52 UTC

Adam, I gotta try and find that docu on YouTube or something, I dont have hbo

2020-12-05 07:56:14 UTC

I’ll see if I can find another link for you.

2020-12-05 07:56:24 UTC

Sweet, thanks

2020-12-05 07:56:44 UTC

@AdamS Was it you who I talked with about Tony Blair? The days have started to run together and I 'm having a hard time keeping my conversations straight.

2020-12-05 07:56:50 UTC

I think it’s on prime too

2020-12-05 07:57:03 UTC

Yes Talon

2020-12-05 07:57:05 UTC

Is this it?

2020-12-05 07:57:48 UTC

Do you know if any of those old House of Commons weekly meetings with PM Blair are available online?

2020-12-05 07:59:41 UTC

They should be on Parliaments website, If I can locate it I’ll send you links to the old catalogues later today.

2020-12-05 08:01:07 UTC

Ok, it wants me to get HBO subscription. I'll keep looking. Is it muti parts?

2020-12-05 08:01:26 UTC

Yes 4 parts I believe.

2020-12-05 08:02:54 UTC

Ok ill have to watch it over a few days then. You get lucky as the one I mentioned is only like 90 minutes or so I think

2020-12-05 08:03:45 UTC

Definitely worth the watch...I’ll check this out today (it’s morning here lol)

2020-12-05 08:04:03 UTC

Its midnight here in Oregon

2020-12-05 08:04:05 UTC

That would be great... Thanks! I was going to suggest to @samwisegamgee77 that he watch one of those. It was the most amazing political discourse I have ever seen. Obama, Clinton, and Reagan gave great speeches, but none of them came close to being able to so immediately and eloquently handle a non-stop barrage of questions and banter.

2020-12-05 08:04:52 UTC

@samwisegamgee77 Where in Oregon are you generally? I am in OC CA.
