although since its a protein it can cross the blood brain barrier which is why the entire cow is destroyed, i suppose there is still risk of other parts other than brain... but as you can imagine its not a commonly tested hypothesis

and its a small protein... i think its still not clear how it gets reproduced within the cells, but from what i remember back in the day from my school days, the effect is directly related to the concentration, and if you start with very low concentration it takes years, as opposed to ingesting higher concentration which is like 3 year prognosis with onset of dementia within 1 year
