I agree that police unions are almost universally bad.
But I don't have a hyper-partisan opinion about it.
I don't think "ACAB".
Government entities shouldn’t have unions
Does that include teachers?
You're not for teachers unions?
No
What
Government enforcement
Military etc
Politicians
People with actual power over others
Judges
Schools have become like institutional facilities themselves.
Teachers have power over kids.
Kids are not adults
Point-by-Point; Police reform is not the duty of Federal Government. You wanna bitch about doors getting shut, look to local and state level representatives. Also, nowhere near as many people as have been portrayed by media have died by cops, and although I'm not a fan of the immunity cops have when "in the line of duty", a large amount of those incidents were found to be justified.
Next; Yes large protests can be or have been hijacked by certain elements that are out to do bad things. You can pick out those groups in the protests where it happens. However, when you "protest" and the intent immediately turns into vandalizing, burning, damaging, and destroying other's personal property (think Kenosha), there is no excuse nor is there certain elements hijacking the protest.
Last; What Covid rules? As far as constitutions are concerned, these mandates and edicts are unconstitutional and unenforceable. People not following said "basic rules" are well within their right to not follow them as they aren't legitimate. And the GOP blocking aid money? Have you read what was in those aid packages? So much garbage that had nothing to do with actually providing aid to people affected by Covid.
They don’t even have fully formed brains
What the law declares as justified is very... in question, for most of us here. That's a non-argument.
That's true. Which is why there are methods to challenge those laws that justify what *we* would see as questionable.
Yeah, but you're saying the media is blowing it out of proportion when it's mostly just relative to opinion.
Blowing the cop killings out of proportion you mean?
@DeathRhodes666 the constitution doesn’t make provisions for a pandemic. It’s a outdated document. Those protests were directed at local governments and federal provisions. Trump supports police unions which is in direct conflict to police reform. Thus shutting the door. Very poor leadership when it comes to a problem that needs to be addressed. We had similar instances under Obama. He made some provisions. He released the pressure valve and communicated that he would take some steps. He advocated for body cams. The tone trump set played a huge role in the riots
Sure, you can label it that way if you want.
I want some clarification before I continue. Reduce confusion and such'

I don't think cops should be able to kick down your door and shoot you if you respond to someone busting down your door with a gun pointed at them.
The constitution isn't outdated first off because it presents and describes methods to alter it via amendments. Whether people and/or states take those steps falls onto their respective residents and is nowhere near indicative of the founding document as being outdated.
To be in favor of unions is not relative to preventing reform of the union or what the union represents. using my own experience with unions and my observations from my mom's time as a USW Steward, unions can be supported by members yet also undergo change that benefits everyone (not just their members). She had a direct hand in removing the corrupt union officials in her local to which everyone in the company benefited.
If it was only that simple.
Clearly I'm referring to no-knock warrants, and I want police to have more of a responsibility to the public that they have authority over.
They should be expected to perform above average in these situations.
It's exactly what they're trained to do.
You're referring to the raid incident where the suspect's girlfriend was shot and killed after the suspect, with a lawfully owned firearm, fired at intruders who turned out to be cops (can't remember the names)?
No, I'm referring to the comment I made specifically, and nothing else.
So Sorry. It was not Clear to me. I must have missed a previous Post of Yours putting that statement into context?
"Kicking in your door and shooting you if you respond thinking someone is breaking into your house"
@DeathRhodes666 also have you read the GOP bill v the democrats bill. The gop bill gave most of the money to corporations. The dem bill went directly to the people and small businesses. It had provisions for ppe and testing. It had money that went to non profits that were employing people and needed that money. You should read both bills me compare. I am aware of the conservative talking point. However like most things they say it is highly misleading and inaccurate.
