Latches is basically you waited too long to bring the case. As I understand it comes from a French word which means lazy or something like that. At least that's what I heard from a lawyer on YouTube. An example of where it would be views properly is suppose they had the same rules for each election an election after election you won and you never complained. But the one election that you lose you then sue and say the rules are unconstitutional or illegal or something of that nature. Then the court would say look you participated all these times never complained about the rules and now you're suing. You don't get to do that.
