I'm curious as to what explosives this guy was using?

2020-12-28 09:41:22 UTC

I doubt we will know for 6 months. I bet they keep it under wraps. The concern I have is the ease at which a bad state actor or non state actor could cause hysteria with copy cat bombings or hoaxes. And then the increased laws, surveillance and measures taken for “safety”.

2020-12-28 09:42:15 UTC

Anybody could do this anytime they want it?

2020-12-28 09:42:26 UTC

But why would they want to?

2020-12-28 09:42:31 UTC

Idk

2020-12-28 09:44:25 UTC

I mean other countries, domestic groups with agendas, like far left or far right, anyone who wants to heighten tension.

2020-12-28 09:44:52 UTC

9/11 really changed American attitudes. We are as fearless as we used to be I think.

2020-12-28 09:45:30 UTC

You're saying they do it because someone already did it? Not that they couldn't do it anytime this is just a good time.

2020-12-28 09:45:59 UTC

I bet AT&t I'll spend a lot of money hardening their facilities that are close to streets.

2020-12-28 09:49:36 UTC

I think it’s just an opportunity and people are already afraid because of the pandemic. We have become a nation that can not tolerate risk.

Risk of poverty, risk of violence, risk of failure, etc. this could galvanize people who are afraid to stay in step with the Party, to be 1984ish. Or to be taken advantage of by hostile countries. Fear is the best tool for authoritarians to use in controlling people

2020-12-28 10:27:56 UTC

It's weird... I don't know if I buy the 5g theory. This guy was supposedly technical - some referred to him as a "computer guru". I wonder if they treated his Dad poorly at AT&T.

Also, his brother died of cancer in Sep 2018. https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/name/steve-warner-obituary?pid=190258077&page=2

2020-12-28 10:29:35 UTC

I thought the same thing about 5G.

2020-12-28 10:29:36 UTC

In previous articles, his neighbors said that he was quiet and that they did not think he was overly political. Now, authorities are saying he was a conspiracy theorist.

2020-12-28 10:34:12 UTC

Will never know if he was a conspiracy theorist or not all it takes is someone to say that.

I wonder if he was somehow treated bad by AT&t as a contract worker like doing alarm systems for some facility? Again pure speculation on my part.

Not to mention people talk a lot of s*** on the internet, who really knows what people actually think.

2020-12-28 10:35:29 UTC

Of course... I worked very closely with a former terrorist for months in the same office and I had no idea about her past - until she was on the news being arrested for a cold case murder. So, anything is possible.

2020-12-28 10:36:00 UTC

...

This guy didn't just come up with this last month...

I previously conjectured before I read that there was an issue with the backup generators that he was probably targeting the backup generators and fuel system and apparently they were damaged.

So somehow he had knowledge of that facility too I wonder when it was last remodeled or upgraded

2020-12-28 10:36:42 UTC

Holy s***

2020-12-28 10:37:01 UTC

That sounds like the kind of thing that would happen to me

2020-12-28 10:37:38 UTC

One of the most surreal things ever for me...

2020-12-28 10:37:48 UTC

It wouldn't really take knowledge of the building if you know about data centers and what the requirements would be for a government contract it would be easy to figure out there's generators in the building.

2020-12-28 10:39:31 UTC

Backup according to news articles the battery backup system worked but it was unable to be charged by the generators... They probably cut the power to the whole block or more

2020-12-28 10:40:33 UTC

The power could also be off until engineers verify that all systems are not dangerous.

2020-12-28 10:40:48 UTC

Including the structure of the building

2020-12-28 10:40:49 UTC

I worked closely with the woman who was one of the leaders of the SLA and had kidnapped Patty Hearst. She got technical training while in prison for the kidnapping. I worked with her in the late 90's early 00's. She apparently was the trigger person that killed a church lady during a bank robbery back in the day. They always suspected her, but couldn't prove it until then. She went back to prison because of it.

2020-12-28 10:41:39 UTC

Wow? Is that the lady whose son is the da of San Francisco

2020-12-28 10:41:49 UTC

Different person

2020-12-28 10:42:37 UTC

She doesn't have any kids that I know of...

2020-12-28 10:45:49 UTC

I thought Clinton pardoned the entire SLA?

2020-12-28 10:45:54 UTC

He was supposed to, at least.

2020-12-28 10:46:04 UTC

In return for the support he got.

2020-12-28 10:46:29 UTC

I don't think he can pardon them for a state murder...

2020-12-28 10:47:36 UTC

ah!

2020-12-28 10:48:18 UTC

I knew Emily really well... I worked with her on data models for Intellectual Property rights. It said she worked for MGM, but she got her start at Disney after her first release from prison. She staged a hunger strike in order to get the training while still in prison.

2020-12-28 10:48:25 UTC

Did you know the bomber was telling people he had cancer

2020-12-28 10:49:18 UTC

@TaLoN132 Was it Emily you worked with?

2020-12-28 10:49:28 UTC

@busillis ya, I saw that.

2020-12-28 10:49:28 UTC

Yes

2020-12-28 10:49:38 UTC

@TaLoN132 Cool. 🙂

2020-12-28 10:49:43 UTC

Good to hear she is back inside.
