Don't think he can do that.

2020-12-31 05:16:46 UTC

It's another states-rights issue probably.

2020-12-31 05:16:57 UTC

Otherwise I think Trump would have done that.

2020-12-31 05:21:00 UTC

Sure. I’ve been critical of trump. Will continue to be.

2020-12-31 05:21:00 UTC

The House has already passed a bill decriminalizing it federally... McConnell refuses to bring it to the floor. The Dems should be running 24/7 adds in GA saying that giving them control of the Senate could lead to passage of that bill.

2020-12-31 05:21:27 UTC

Probably would give them the win, yes.

2020-12-31 05:21:46 UTC

They are running plenty of good ads already lol

2020-12-31 05:22:56 UTC

Making pot federally legal would be an instant Trump card for tons of people.

2020-12-31 05:23:03 UTC

There would be no better ad in my opinion.

2020-12-31 05:23:09 UTC

Lol

2020-12-31 05:23:17 UTC

It's one of those single-issue votes IMO.

2020-12-31 05:23:21 UTC

And I don't even smoke pot.

2020-12-31 05:23:22 UTC

Yup

2020-12-31 05:23:25 UTC

Perdue and loeffler got rich off insider trading in a pandemic and voted against aid that’s a killer. Got destroyed in debates makes some good ads

2020-12-31 05:23:38 UTC

Hacks

2020-12-31 05:24:08 UTC

I just like not being in a war.

2020-12-31 05:24:32 UTC

Perdue iirc one of the few against round 1 relief

2020-12-31 05:24:57 UTC

As bad as they are, osoff and warnock or just as bad

2020-12-31 05:25:10 UTC

Warnock scares me. He’s not a nice dude

2020-12-31 05:26:18 UTC

If anyone was going to kill off the war on drugs, I'd vote for them in a heartbeat, but it's likely all just promises that won't be kept from 99% of politicians.

2020-12-31 05:27:47 UTC

How would you even do that? Kill the war on drugs.

2020-12-31 05:28:10 UTC

Don't even know besides trying to make them legal state-by-state.

2020-12-31 05:28:17 UTC

And on a federal level.

2020-12-31 05:28:23 UTC

I guess it’s sort of vague. Would it be just ending sentences for non violent offenders

2020-12-31 05:28:34 UTC

That's one start.

2020-12-31 05:28:58 UTC

License selling, etc.

2020-12-31 05:29:44 UTC

I’d say the first wave of ending war on drugs is started (?) decriminalizing x amount of weed in some cities. Chicago did it. Saw alot less ppl in jail

2020-12-31 05:30:04 UTC

Same with California and Oregon.

2020-12-31 05:30:40 UTC

prohibition of alcohol failed same with prohibition of drugs

2020-12-31 05:30:55 UTC

My grandpa used to make booze illegally lol

2020-12-31 05:31:15 UTC

Or his dad back then. **

2020-12-31 05:31:31 UTC

Had the cellar in the basement. Still there

2020-12-31 05:32:45 UTC

Up next is trying to change Americans to stop treating prior convicted felons like second-rate citizens the rest of their natural lives.

2020-12-31 05:33:12 UTC

Yup

2020-12-31 05:33:34 UTC

Especially with the high rates of locking up innocent folks for profit

2020-12-31 05:33:42 UTC

yeah thats insane, if ppl are a threat they need to remain in jail.. if they served their time they should be actually free and clear

2020-12-31 05:33:43 UTC

I think with the crazy amount of exonerations that have happened over the past several years - especially given advancements in DNA testing and the Conviction Integrity Units in so many major cities finding so many wrongful convictions - that serious reform is necessary. The death penalty needs to be paused indefinitely until every case can be reviewed. Trump is the first lame duck president to allow executions to take place post election.

Also, prosecutors that knowingly pursue a conviction against someone that they have reason to believe is actually innocent should be held criminally liable. Everybody talks about qualified immunity for cops (rightfully so), but nobody talks about prosecutors.

2020-12-31 05:35:00 UTC

No one talks about American culture that promote the vicious cycle of punishment indefinitely for prior convicted felons.

2020-12-31 05:35:07 UTC

And it's one of the biggest problems.

2020-12-31 05:35:12 UTC

Also think they need jobs. Trade deals aren’t helping with that. Auto manufacturing is perfect for guys like this but most get out and have no work

2020-12-31 05:35:21 UTC

It's why you have such a terrible rate of rehabilitation.
