Again, an instance when Trump isn’t even the top and fills 80% of the message being delivered.
Well... take away COVID and you would have the same for Pence... well except for him courting the Religious extremist and generally being as homophobic as possible.
VPs are typically not in the spotlight.
I dont think anyone can argue that Cheney was the most involved VP in recent history, but even that was from behind the scenes
Well we need a President for every circumstance...we have a Pandemic, and who do we have at the helm. Trump...
Besides shooting people in the face.
I dont know what you mean by that....
And the guy that got shot apologized.... now that is some serious status.... "Oh dear, Mr. VP Cheney, I seem to have gotten my face in front of your buckshot"
I still have zero idea how you can accidentally mistake a human face for a bird.
Have you seen Rachel Maddow Show?
awe man that was mean... Im so going to hell for that
Too partisan for me.
- 9/11 Benghazi, Iraq, Libya, Syria, "we will never forget" "Hilary this, Obama that" Come COVID19 344,000 Americans dead and orange man holds the ROSE GARDEN MASSACRE. how many events did he hold...like wtf. indefensible.
LOL.... I LOVE her.... I don't even care. The only show I can bear on MSNBC. And honestly, I am way more about her writing and her mind than the show itself.
I wasn’t talking about trump and you defaulted to trump as a response. You actually said the word Trump 3 times in 2 sentences. Lol
That’s how everything from the left goes.
I mean, this is patently untrue.
That's a tough one for me... It's one of those things where I think that anyone that wants to be president is probably not a good choice. I also think that leadership is a lost art. There are few true leaders today - even in business. Businesses look for managers - not leaders.
It would have to be someone with a varied background with a wide range of life's experiences. Someone that can be decisive and empathetic. They should be intelligent, but willing to listen/learn. I'm tired of actors, uber-rich people trying to buy an office or are out of touch with real people, blue-bloods, and/or extremists on both sides. I am also leery of career military - those who have entered politics recently have had marginal success. I don't know anyone who has been in the field of candidates that has all of these attributes.
This might seem strange, but are you familiar with former Prime Minister Tony Blair of the UK? He was someone that I admired while he was in office and I wish we had someone like him here. He was always prepared, well-spoken, and unafraid. I didn't agree with all of his policies, but I think he was an effective leader in a modern world. The UK has a different dynamic between the executive and legislative branch. The PM takes questions at the House of Commons on a regular basis and it is nearly always a spirited discussion. Check out how Blair handles himself at this debate with David Cameron on Education reform. Imagine this level of candor and enthusiasm in our government: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rSK7Pjw_5k
Pipe dream.
Different cultures.
We used to literally beat each other in and bring guns to the senate.
I'm not saying him... Someone like him.
Several of the responses to me being critical of various politicians is met with a strong trump comparison. ‘X politician really is bad. ‘
Response : ‘ yea but Trump is so bad and racist and reeeeeeeee’ <a:angryshakealert:586415731734872084>
Again, I don't think American culture is at that stage yet. Someone like him would likely be viewed as weak.
Yes... and I explained why I did in my comment. You keep doing this "I am just tearing down Biden I am not talking about Trump".
The reality of the situation is that we had 2 real options in November. Biden and Trump. So you can tear down Biden all you want but it completely irrelevant unless you can make the case that Biden is somehow worse than Trump.
You can't make that argument because its ridiculous so you play the game of "I didnt say anything about Trump"
That would be a shame, because he was anything but weak.
I mean, I'm open to being wrong. :V
In fact, I'd like to be wrong in this case.
But given how American politics is right now...
@TaLoN132 i would like to see Trump go up against blair in a debate. But didn't blair follow bush into fake WMD's?
I'd like to see them in a wrestling match to the death.
I remember seeing him arrive at Camp David, had some stupid sweater on
which one? lol
Sadly, nobody is perfect. I don't know enough about the decision to know if he truly thought that Iraq had WMD's or felt compelled to maintain the alliance with the US. Either way, many had lost their way at that time. Few in power had the temerity to stand up and question what was happening.
Tony Blair and Trump
Yes and tie
win win
Blair v Trump to the death
i'd pay to see that.
Dark times.
