The african elephant is superior in higher temperature climates because its ears are larger than the indian elephant, so it can lose more heat.

The indian elephant will overheat in africa and could therefore be deemed inferior on the african continent. Or unfitted....

Yes and if you swap them out of their respective environments the aadvantage is gone, bringing them closer to equal comparison, humans do not live by the law of nature we blatantly defy it.
