When you reach the bordes created by morals you experience massive pain and anger.
Ahhh I see
(if you are a reflecting person)
Not at all what I said. Sorry you misunderstood. I am more than happy to address most any issue.
However, when there is a fundamental conflict in basic facts such that "stoning women to death because they were raped" is not a real problem - then there is no basis to search for common ground.
Now, if you are telling me that stoning women to death because they were a victim of rape somehow benefits society then please do so.... I would love to hear it.
@JD~Jordan You want the argument that lead to the practice?
rephrase that for me no clue what you mean
Well it seems to be infidelity was a massive problem threatening societal structure when Mohammed dictated his book. Making women property was one way to deal with this.
Yeah, I think we can all agree rape and murder are reprehensible actions.
Doc, do you think that RAPE is a form of infidelity on the part of the woman that was raped? Fucking really?
โOne wayโ. It was an option. Was it the best option for all parties? No.
@JD~Jordan I am explaining the etiology of sharia law. I am not in any shape or form explaining my personal views. Why would you confuse the two???
You are avoiding the issue
What is the issue?
Itโd definitely be to your benefit to make a more clear distinction between your personal view and describing something.
@yetiCodes, you just advanced to level 10!
Are you suggesting that, in this example, that stoning women to death for being raped is beneficial to a society as a whole?
Yes or No (feel free to explain - but please preface your respond with a yes or no)
I dont think it is very important what MY opionins are, as I hold no leverage what so ever, and would not want one, but if they, for some reason, are important to YOU, then feel free to ask.
no he's hitting it straight on and it disturbs you ... disturbs me too but I understand what the issue is
@JD~Jordan I have no opinion what so ever on what is beneficial for a society. I, personally, dont like any form of human society. I prefer to observe it from afar. I therefore have no normative opinions what so ever. That said, what you describe sounds like a very brutal and narrow minded society, I would probably leave it, just as I have left the social democratic system.
Ive asked several times now doc.... And you have been stating your opinions several times... so why you wish to back out now I have no idea
I am not backing out of anything. You feel I have not answered your question?
real world story
I was doing work under a government contractor. I pointed out to my higher-ups that contractually mandated paperwork was being submitted that was 100% untrue stating that contractually mandated testing was being performed per the contract.
I might not have pointed this issue out if the said above was not causing major issues.
I was pretty worked up about it.. I went up the chain of command until I reached a partner in the company, after informing him I was summarily fired for being antisocial. , per my letter of separation. I am unsure what could be more anti-social than not performing a contractually mandated obligation on a gov contract.
Ok, so are you capable of giving a straight answer?
How about this... instead of your opinion.... can you highlight any logical reasons that stoning women for being raped would benefit society?
@JD~Jordan, you just advanced to level 9!
@JD~Jordan I presented you with the logic leading up to that exact legislation, as I find it in the documents of those system. Did you not see that?
Insane testimony!
๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
you're confusing logical with moral ... there might be a logical reason for something that is immoral
Explain
No. Please just give me the reason that you believe might benefit a society by stoning rape victims to death. I see none. So by all means enlighten me
@JD~Jordan again, I have no normative opinion on any society. I can only refer you to how fundamentalist muslims argue this case.
From what Iโve seen the pendulum keeps swinging between moral and logical so itโs hard to pin down anything to discuss further.
another dodge
@JD~Jordan I have no belief connected to how a society should or should not be run. How is that so hard to understand?
Ive read the Koran...
So have I. And the Hadiths.
That seems like a cop-out. ๐ค
It is
@yetiCodes how so?
