I don't know what Canada's politics look like, other than being badly more left than us (and actually relatively sane about short barreled rifles - until just recently I think?), but I do know the GOP needs to stand up for the working-class Americans that the DNC has left behind. Bring our jobs and industry back from China, put America first to stop selling us out to the megacorporations and China, and restore the Constitution.

And make life easier for small companies that have been all but wiped out in the greatest transfer of wealth in human history known as the Covid evisceration of the Constitution.

Canada's laws on firearms is anything but sane.

The ATF is a meme, but Canada is far, far more restrictive.

Oh yeah, in general they're awful, I just thought it was funny because in one very narrow point - short-barreled rifles - they were less restrictive than the US until just recently iirc.

Also the constitution wasn't rended with covid, it was rended long ago, and the tears have just gotten larger.

What has happened with covid is consistent to what happened literally 100 years ago.

Frankly if Red Flag laws aren't the line that triggers a revolution then nothing will and all the conservative "we have the 2A to protect from tyranny" means nothing.

Fortunately we did/do have something of a soft revolt with the whole 2A sanctuary thing going on. In many places it means nothing other than posturing. In others it actually carries some force, though.

Wasn't there an armed protest relatively recently that marched through no-gun zones?

I sometimes wonder if a lot of the places that refused to enforce it are places where police knew they'd suffer massive casualties if they tried to commit Red Flag crimes.
