Cancer seems to be more of a symptom. If we could not get cancer, we would likely die as soon as the body starts having problems in some organ.

So instead of chemotherapy, why not figure out the root cause? Why must the military come in and break down everyone's doors? Maybe we could just do a bit more figuring out and help the immune system get the cancers out of the body of government/power

I imagine that if an organism that has telomeres goes without it, they die. ... Though I do believe there are organisms (I think SciShow was talking about lobsters) that do not have them. However, they do not live forever either.
