Which is probably what you're thinking of.

2020-12-18 19:32:27 UTC

@Maw i think they need to supplement taurine due to it being found only in animals or something like that

2020-12-18 19:32:31 UTC

They use it in cat food/dog food and stuff.

2020-12-18 19:32:35 UTC

IIRC

2020-12-18 19:32:54 UTC

Since they're carnivores.

2020-12-18 19:32:56 UTC

now preworkout supplements can have all sorts of crap thrown in

2020-12-18 19:33:32 UTC

Btw if you try to make your dog/cat a vegan, shame on you.

2020-12-18 19:33:42 UTC

Chicken breast 👌

2020-12-18 19:34:02 UTC

chicken thigh

2020-12-18 19:34:23 UTC

They actually found dogs can be vegan but cats can’t

2020-12-18 19:34:37 UTC

doubtful

2020-12-18 19:34:44 UTC

Last time they tried that the dog nearly died.

2020-12-18 19:34:54 UTC

Hence "shame on you"

2020-12-18 19:35:14 UTC

Yeah exactly they pretend it's the "same as coffee" 😂

2020-12-18 19:35:54 UTC

Dogs are carnivores, not omnivores.

2020-12-18 19:35:58 UTC

@Dedkraken what is the problem you are seeing?

2020-12-18 19:36:11 UTC

They figured out how to do it

2020-12-18 19:39:19 UTC

It’s true

2020-12-18 19:39:23 UTC

Cats can’t though

2020-12-18 19:39:50 UTC

You just have to be really precise and on top of the diet

2020-12-18 19:41:09 UTC

This energy blend shit which now that I look might be in not red bull but their competitors

2020-12-18 19:42:14 UTC

That was my fault

2020-12-18 19:42:23 UTC

Again, last time I saw this tried the dog nearly died. Just saying, when they exhibit preference for eating meat, as well as all the other trademarks of a carnivore, meat is probably going to be better for them.

2020-12-18 19:43:11 UTC

@Maw I’m just saying it’s possible , dogs aren’t obligate carnivores and they have had success in studies

2020-12-18 19:43:25 UTC

Yeah, for how long?

2020-12-18 19:43:36 UTC

It can take years for dietary problems to surface.

2020-12-18 19:46:07 UTC

2 years

2020-12-18 19:46:47 UTC

That energy blend junk will drain your life 😂

2020-12-18 19:46:57 UTC

They had success with cats but they really shouldn’t have

2020-12-18 19:53:41 UTC

This sample size of 7 dogs in some places leaves me HIGHLY suspect.

2020-12-18 19:53:53 UTC

"91% stated to be vegan themselves, 6% live on a ovo-lacto-vegetarian nutrition and the remaining 2% specified to eat both, animal- and plant-based-foods. ?6.2. Questionnaire6.2.1. Motifs 90% of participants said conviction (moral and ethical reasons and reasons of animal welfare)"

2020-12-18 19:54:23 UTC

Like, a sample size of 20 doesn't lead me to trust this study at all.

2020-12-18 19:55:01 UTC

Hey man this is what they found. Diets for Dogs like humans would be very much a case by case basis

2020-12-18 19:55:25 UTC

It's what they found in a sample size of 20 with a very small period of time.

2020-12-18 19:55:55 UTC

This is by no means something I'd put any sort of credence into to dictate the ideal diet of a dog.

2020-12-18 19:55:55 UTC

🤷

2020-12-18 19:56:04 UTC

No one said ideal

2020-12-18 19:56:14 UTC

I’m talking technically possible

2020-12-18 19:56:38 UTC

Put down veggies and meat in front of a dog, watch which it chooses.
