I am aware

2020-12-25 23:04:58 UTC

Could be. My uncle is an expert in explosives. (No joke, he’s been an investigator at that in the FBI since I believe 1989).

But it’s a similar vehicle that was used in OKC and WTC. Somewhat similar to Oslo

2020-12-25 23:05:28 UTC

They should really know about the first world trade center bombing because they're informants compounded the explosives.

2020-12-25 23:05:29 UTC

And has experience with bombs

2020-12-25 23:05:46 UTC

If I could see the crime scene more thoroughly I'd know more, if it's a high velocity explosion the vehicle will be practically vaporized, metal frame and all.

True...

2020-12-25 23:06:28 UTC

Why would they need an RV?

2020-12-25 23:06:43 UTC

Easier to conceal a large pile of explosives.

2020-12-25 23:07:32 UTC

Sounds like the dude killed himself 15 minutes prior (or someone else) and then used a bomb to either hide the evidence, or just blow up some 5G garbage.

2020-12-25 23:07:39 UTC

Easier to conceal and transport a bomb

2020-12-25 23:08:05 UTC

Either he's dead, or he murdered someone before the blast most likely.

2020-12-25 23:09:55 UTC

@busillis read Anders Breivek, Ramzi Yousef, and McVeigh. All used ANFO devices and large-ish vehicles

2020-12-25 23:10:10 UTC

That was my point.

2020-12-25 23:10:32 UTC

But how did they get the primary explosives

2020-12-25 23:11:39 UTC

Farming. AN is used in farming. That’s how Breivek attained it in Norway

2020-12-25 23:12:30 UTC

When I say primary explosive I mean the primer.

2020-12-25 23:12:47 UTC

Ammonium nitrate is readily available at farm stores

2020-12-25 23:12:58 UTC

So is sodium nitrate

2020-12-25 23:14:06 UTC

Urea nitrate

2020-12-25 23:14:13 UTC

It's what was used in the first world trade center bombing.

2020-12-25 23:14:51 UTC

I don't think it was a huge amount, if I'd have to guess maybe 50-100kg at most.

2020-12-25 23:15:37 UTC

Urea can be easily obtained from diesel exhaust fluid...

2020-12-25 23:15:38 UTC

But AN is highly volatile

2020-12-25 23:15:49 UTC

It's 35% of the mixture.

2020-12-25 23:16:58 UTC

Or maybe he was making acetone peroxide on site?

2020-12-25 23:17:53 UTC

Somebody blew a joggers leg off in New York City a while back with the above compound.

2020-12-25 23:18:42 UTC

....

The most common route for nearly pure TATP is H2O2/acetone/HCl in 1:1:0.25 molar ratios, using 30% hydrogen peroxide.

2020-12-25 23:19:26 UTC

Naw, the explosive had a delay, that's pretty telling with ANFO devices.

2020-12-25 23:19:34 UTC

Due to use of fuses.

2020-12-25 23:19:55 UTC

(Primarily, there are some that use blasting caps, but I doubt this did, was too delayed.)

2020-12-25 23:19:55 UTC

How did he get the blasting caps?

2020-12-25 23:20:59 UTC

Don't think he used them.

2020-12-25 23:22:38 UTC

I didn't think you could set ANFO with no primary explosive.

2020-12-25 23:22:49 UTC

That's why there is fuel oil.

2020-12-25 23:23:25 UTC

That's what amphi is ammonium nitrate and fuel oil it still requires a primary explosive to start the reaction.

2020-12-25 23:23:32 UTC

Or maybe I don't understand.

2020-12-25 23:23:47 UTC

I guess in wherever that big Depot of ammonium nitrate that blew up in Lebanon or wherever it was didn't have any primary explosives m

2020-12-25 23:23:52 UTC

So idk.

2020-12-25 23:23:54 UTC

Actually, no you may be correct.
