Just saying.
you can kill more people with a crowbar and a sledge hammer, than with an AR.
its just that people dont know how.
luckily.
You have to be pretty sadistic to beat someone to death with your own hands... Guns are a lot less personal...
Well.... the fact to assume that the majority of the school shooters or active shooters in any situation are going to be able to sucessfully carry out their plans and kill more people without access to high powered weapons is silly to me
This is purely schools, very narrow.
Am I putting my own bias into the mix?
think about it, but if you understand it, dont type it.
Sorry.
People that kill other people just don't care...
think like a terrorist. Watch a sledge and a crow bar and think; how do I.....
So broaden it.... look at Australia.... they got rid of the guns. Load of access to fertilizers and that sort of things to make bombs... yet we dont see it happening.
And, for the record I do not oppose gun ownership
Sounds absolutely awful but then again that's probably the same reason I would never shoot anybody.
Unless I absolutely had to and they were attacking me.
I just think that we need to license and insure them.... just like your deadly vehicles that you mentioned earlier, @Maw
They also aren't American.
When you have the contacts of work it's different...
Vehicles are actually the most dangerous of the three in my opinion.
So do you think its just Americans are broken? Because earlier you were pointing me to other countries.. but then when I point to another country to cry foul
If I carried a firearm around on me and had to shoot someone I would
But I don't do that
Partially yes.
Take away American freedoms and expect cases of terrorism to skyrocket.
Americans don't like being told 'no'.
9/11?
ya, but too advanced.
Ok.... so just so I am clear. When I suggested we get stricter laws in hopes to curb school shootings and the like you pointed me to the fact that they would just use bombs and cars like in other countries.
But when I point to Australia who had an active shooter problem and then following Port Arthur they banned most guns, that is somehow not relevant.
Interesting.
That is my point. You cant guard against humans wanting to kill humans.
gun laws will do nothing.
Because they have a different culture, try taking American's guns, I guarantee you I know what happens if you try this. And it will not go like it did in the AU.
Different culture.
Again.... if we concede that is true... your pointing me in the direction of other bombings outside the US is equally invalid.
Very few people are aware of this, but pre gunpouder europe had several events of terror that killed hundreds. Can anyone guess how?
you are trying to use it both ways
