Do you crave for cock?
What's wrong with rendering on Google CPU's with Maya?
I actually wanted to try out linux deepin sometime soon
I distro hop constantly but right now I am in love with Manjaro XFCE
The ease of use is amazing
>adding the wm/de like it actually matters
(it does)
It's like if you took the idea of the windows 10 notification menu and made it actually useful by shoving the entire system settings app in there
Oh, it does? My bad. I thought you could install that regardless of the distro.
I must be relying on outdated info.
a distro is a preconfigured environment + a package manager
manjaro uses pacman (the Arch package manager) so everything else manjaro is just the preconfigured environment

tl;dr it's the manjaro flavor of XFCE, not the XFCE flavor of manjaro
Deepin is based off Ubuntu and it has a DE that iirc was originally written in like, html5 but got a rewrite a couple versions ago
>2018
it still uses ubuntu repos though right?
>still using a DE
I think they host their own repos
?
I haven't checked tbh
I literally installed it, installed some IDE's from the app store and got to programming for a local programming group I joined
nice
Because programming on Chrome OS which I had before is hilariously bad, and Gnome 3 stuttered like a bitch
plug n' play
yeah GNOME does not deserve flagship DE status
XFCE is superior in every way
deepin seems to have potential
Neither does KDE, tbh
It's like Windows XP with a skin
I gave deepin a test drive on my arch box but it installed too much extraneous shit that interfered with my non-deepin usage
will install deepin linux on one of my old laptops sometime soon to test out
I honestly believe the new breed of DE's like Pantheon, Budgie, Deepin are all better options for the future
because they get the fuck out of the way and let you worry less about something as stupid as a DE
I am convinced that the GNOME devs are former mac users who are frustrated that Linux is so complicated to use
agreed on Budgie
Solus is a great project
they just need more manpower for their repos
