He a sede?
Not sure, but if he is then that would answer why he takes into question the legitimacy of the Novus Ordo mass
He is not, he recognizes that pope francis is our pope
Would I be correct in saying that any statement on liturgy cannot be infallable, as it would have to be universal?
Therefore the Church reserves the right to change it?
(But obviously not reverse it)
If he recognises the papacy then he must submit to it
Liturgical rites can’t be set infallibly because it’s not a matter of faith and morals
Yeah they can change and reverse it because it’s a doctrine rather than a dogma
The only way you can do it invalidly is if you say the wrong words for the consecration or don’t have holy orders
And an infallable statement has to be universal
Anyways on a better note, our mass is going back inside this comming week, and I am excited to celebrate the mass indoors once again
I had to call and reserve a spot, hopefully my parents wont get mad at me for wanting to go, (they're still worried about all the covid stuff)
Im also hoping it'll be in english because usually the early morning masses are in spanish in my area, and I do not know how to speak spanish 😂
And I memorized the Ave Maria prayer, so I can now pray about 70% of my rosary in latin
Infallible statements can come from extraordinary magisterium too
All extraordinary magisterium is infallible but not all universal or ordinary
True doe
Thats factual
It's valid, despite the problems with it. Stop listening to Sedevacantists.
Is a baptism and annointing with oils performed with vegetable oil rather than olive oil still valid?
Don't know about anointment, but Baptisms are valid given they are Trinitarian.
Can yall pray for my pastor? he is not doing very well with the coronavirus
Do I need to know his name to pray for him?
Just call him pastor phil
Guys what bible version is the one I should read
Douay-Rheims
Thanks
Naw read the New American Version
ESV gang
KJV is pretty good too
What is the best version to read if catholic
So how r all of you this fine Sunday ?
The New American Version
There's also the app called, "Laudete"
You want the closest translation to the Latin vulgate if you're Catholic
which is the Douay-Rheims
NIV is not a good translation, avoid that one if you can.
I'm going with the Douay-Rheims 🙂
