What I find jarring about Calvinism is that it's completely historically unprecedented.

The Church Fathers don't speak on a Calvinist understanding at all.

It's funny that Calvinists exalt St. Augustine, but they would never accept any of his teachings on anything other than their reading into of his views on predestination.

St. Augustine is an absolute heretic to Calvinists. He believed in everything that we Orthodox do.

@Phrygain So if you admit that nobody was Calvinist for the first 1600 years of the Church, why did God hide this essential truth about double predestination from us all? Nobody knew the proper soteriology.
