The cultural Catholic Sinn Fein party in Ireland is pro gay, pro abortion etc
However the hardcore Prot party in Northern Ireland, the DUP, is extremely anti abortion, pro religion and anti gay. Got to play with the cards ur dealt I guess

Exactly; Christendom in general has gone rather soft, regardless of denomination. I think true Catholics and positive Protestants generally have similar goals, and ideally will merge back together in the long run; however, frankly, we have to work together to get there.
I agree. There arent enough of us proper faithful to go around, so for example here in UK i would support the Prot DUP than the "catholic" Sinn Fein who have dumped and spat on the faith their forefathers upheld
Prots rebelled against the church, and they've splintered off into 10s of thousands of denominations, have no authority. It's heresey

i dont think Catholics understand protestantism at all. We view ourselves as the heir of the true church and have our own authority structures. It's not baseless individualism
