Also the idea about code as images is that you can write hello world finite amount of times so why bump up the plagiarism meter needlessly

I think from memory it's like $4000/year and you get a discount if you offer student work to their db

Turnitin is fucking useless too, literally ended up with a 20% plagiarism score on one essay because it scanned my whole bibliography

Whole essay was perfect and completely authentic but it picked up like 3 quotes and my whole references section even with "Include Bibliography" turned off

all of them are just snakeoil products

well not snakeoil

they lessen work of teachers so they dont need to read or validate your work

nor stay up to date on their field that much

Only a minority of classes actually used it especially since it would spit out major plagiarism scores for literally every assignment in certain fields (eg Modern History)

So I only have experience with using it a couple times

i took hobby to use anti-copy pdf files and other trickery to every file submitted back to school

as in similar to what the asshats did to this pdf (just try and edit or copy that text without OCR)
