2016-06-10 18:00:53 UTC
2016-06-10 18:01:00 UTC

this is the guide on how to do it iirc

2016-06-10 18:01:17 UTC

@cathy so it's a good find?

2016-06-10 18:01:22 UTC

that's one of the later ones

2016-06-10 18:01:34 UTC

made by lexmark

2016-06-10 18:01:50 UTC

the best ones are those which were made by IBM, and have already been bolt modded

2016-06-10 18:01:59 UTC

fuck

2016-06-10 18:02:01 UTC

won't cop

2016-06-10 18:02:08 UTC

why

2016-06-10 18:02:08 UTC

?

2016-06-10 18:02:24 UTC

wait

2016-06-10 18:02:26 UTC

i mean it will be decent but if you're not willing to bolt mod to make it not fall apart and clean it then you're sol

2016-06-10 18:02:39 UTC

it looks p clean already

2016-06-10 18:02:53 UTC

hasn't got that smoker house look

2016-06-10 18:03:38 UTC

this is the one I bought

2016-06-10 18:03:57 UTC

it's a repro by the company who bought all of the patents and manufacturing process shit when IBM stopped making them

2016-06-10 18:04:09 UTC

it's kinda expensive but worth af

2016-06-10 18:04:52 UTC

one thing to note is it doesn't use the default HID driver so it might not work instantly on all systems but it's compatible with most modern OSs

2016-06-10 18:05:21 UTC

shit u can tell i actually care abt this shit because im using punctuation rip

2016-06-10 18:05:30 UTC

I dunno maybe it is

2016-06-10 18:07:16 UTC

so I'd have to mod it to usb because the ps/2 won't work?

2016-06-10 18:07:59 UTC

I'm still weighing up, this guy's used keyboard or an ajazz

2016-06-10 18:08:02 UTC

foooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooook

2016-06-10 18:08:40 UTC

But the ajazz doesn't have a numpad, right?

2016-06-10 18:08:49 UTC

tkl looks nice

2016-06-10 18:09:06 UTC

no numpad

2016-06-10 18:09:18 UTC

Even my laptop has a numpad

2016-06-10 18:09:36 UTC

But then again I absolutely need a numpad

2016-06-10 18:09:38 UTC

Maybe you don't

2016-06-10 18:09:56 UTC

I dont even need it

2016-06-10 18:10:20 UTC

@Deleted User you don't have to mod ther PS/2 models assuming your motherboard has a port, it's the RJ45 ones that need modding

2016-06-10 18:10:55 UTC

now it's also advised to bolt mod any original model M you buy because the plastic rivets inside break over time and you lose the click

2016-06-10 18:11:14 UTC

it takes about an hour and some nuts and bolts but it's doable

2016-06-10 18:12:06 UTC

I don't think I can afford a model m, the only way I see to get one is import from US and that adds a ton to shipping

2016-06-10 18:12:14 UTC

they also have something like this which is a converter with built in firmware to convert from RJ45 to USB so if you see a really good deal one one go for it but accomodate for the cost

2016-06-10 18:12:37 UTC

they're pretty lit but yeah if you can't afford one it's not life changing or anything
