I put it in and looked, that's exactly what it's doing

So all my tests where I'm at 40% gain, 70% gain the somake was actually boosted way beyond that

I ordered mics in different priceranges, so it'll be interesting.

but AGC is in almost every device, camcorders, phones

this is just a really weird and extreme version of it

Also, I'm glad I didn't buy a Somake + BM-800 now.

I had a suspicion because it starts rattling with feedback at 100% gain

like a TV turned up too loud

I'll make a video tomorrow maybe

somake is probably still fine for skype and gaming because that throws your audio through its own compression and fucks it up anyway

but I don't feel comfortable with my original test

because it isn't valid

can't compare like for like if one of them is artificially boosted

One might argue that it's still okay, as long as it sounds fine.

Although one should still be aware that it's boosted before buying.

it makes sense because when I hear other people's somake + bm-800 set-up it always sounded crackly and flat to me
