2016-07-03 17:50:38 UTC

Which one fam? There's different colours and designs

2016-07-03 17:50:44 UTC

Some edgier than others

2016-07-03 17:54:12 UTC

Maximum edge

2016-07-03 17:54:21 UTC

Too sharp for plebs

I noticed a lot of these chinese knives don't have assisted opening, are there any recommended ones that do?

2016-07-03 17:59:13 UTC

How do you mean assisted opening? The 7010 has bit you press on with your thumb and it pops open

2016-07-03 17:59:58 UTC

Oh does it? By assisted opening I meant one handed opening with a spring

2016-07-03 18:01:00 UTC

Most folding knives have some kind of notch like a hole for your thumb, I think you mean switchblades

2016-07-03 18:01:07 UTC

like the one button press and it springs out?

2016-07-03 18:01:16 UTC

never looked into those

2016-07-03 18:02:04 UTC

none on gearbest as far as I can see

2016-07-03 18:02:10 UTC

maybe China has a law against them

Switchblades slide out straight from the handle, there are knives like Kershaws that flip out with a spring assist

2016-07-03 18:03:07 UTC

even the GPU ram is wrong

2016-07-03 18:04:32 UTC

looks like those are called liner locks

2016-07-03 18:04:44 UTC

I'm not a knife fag myself

2016-07-03 18:04:50 UTC

@s3bbe knows his shit

2016-07-03 18:05:29 UTC

this one looks pretty sweet, that design

2016-07-03 18:06:25 UTC

maybe axis lock actually, you press up on a button and it spring loads out

2016-07-03 18:06:30 UTC

lots of ganzo axis knives

2016-07-03 18:07:19 UTC

The liner lock is when the inner frame of the handle bends in to lock the knife in place, I think thats the most common lock for the chink knives

2016-07-03 18:08:01 UTC

ganzo is a really respected chink brand, I'll maybe grab an axis and see how it works

2016-07-03 18:10:05 UTC

Heres one of the Ganzo ones I found with assisted opening

2016-07-03 18:10:43 UTC

You can see how it works in the video below

2016-07-03 18:10:56 UTC

is it a variety of liner lock?

2016-07-03 18:11:42 UTC

lmao this guy posing with his knife on a gun magazine

2016-07-03 18:11:44 UTC

I don't think its reliant on the lock type

2016-07-03 18:11:54 UTC

I've had assisted opening knives with liner and frame locks

2016-07-03 18:12:15 UTC

but I'm no expert, just own a few casually for my workshop

2016-07-03 18:12:39 UTC

I just looked up those Baodanli knives
