It's a bunch of clips
That's the fucking "game"
There was the cinema mod, right?
Yeah
I used to watch a few YT clips with my friends in that one
I bet anything Mao's steam library is stuffed with indie games with dozens of hours in them he then comes here to hate on kek
Then I asked myself what I was doing
And stopped
I played Stanley Parable, A Beginner's Guide and Dear Esther
Those are all ok walking simulators
>Dear Esther
I'm actually playing Undertale atm
>ok
I liked Stanley Parable
It's really stupid
I like it
ikr, Mao
I had extremely low expectations of Undertale. I thought it'd be completely Tumblr-tier garbage, but it's actually a decent game.
I couldn't stomach Undertale
I dunno what it was
Maybe it was the shitty UI
@Deleted User If you're going to call me out for any of those it has to be Beginner's Guide because it's an edgy 2d4m narrative about crippling depression, meaning of life, fulfillment and success
Maybe it was the really badly designed mini-shump sequences
Maybe it was the comedy attempts that didn't really resonate with me
One of those
At least it isn't gay poetry and diary entries as you wander around an island
@Phatique Some of them are. But that's unavoidable with games like those.
Also, the routes are more linear than a rope
Also Awful, most of the Undertale fans are also Homestuck fans
The fanbases cross-pollinate
Undertale really makes you get how fucking stupid some dialogs between 2 characters was during the NES/SNES/Megadrive era because they all got written fast by Jap's who just wanted to code and become salarymen
I mean
It's not like they could afford writers back then
Dev teams composed of 3 guys, usually
Artist, programmer and composer
Daily reminder your man Comfy left that all behind
Maybe they were lucky and the publisher threw in another programmer
>caring about fandoms
at that point you are part of the fandom yourself
