the rx480 has already gotten some nice boosts from drivers, and yeah, it wins in DX12 and vulkan

personally i'll be buying neither because no matter how many CADs I have I can't afford those cards

it's losing against the 1060 in DX11 games but only by a few frames

at this point I'd rather get the 480 as you'll see a significant improvement in performance overtime

If you get something like a sapphire nitro once they come out, overclocking should be pretty easy too

sapphire usually has some of the better AMD chips and coolers

What the newfags dont get

was back in the days AMD made the good CPUs

they got fucked over at some point internally

and fell behind

intel bribed oem's to not use AMD products

yeah that and having one GPU giant will be bad for all of us

ie now where intel barely advances their performance in their CPUs

and the small like $1b settlement intel had to pay AMD after 3 or 4 years of underhanded marketing was too small a drop in the bucket after being fucked

while keeping prices artificially high even for capable last gen CPUs

and Nvidia screwing everyone as much as they can with their GPUs
