yeah i heard that one was supposed to be good
im on an r9 390 myself though, so I don't see myself needing to upgrade for a few generations
>when OP throws autistic AMD bankrupt celebration to hail monopoly
kek
I laughed
What the newfags dont get
was back in the days AMD made the good CPUs
they got fucked over at some point internally
and fell behind
intel bribed oem's to not use AMD products
yeah that and having one GPU giant will be bad for all of us
ie now where intel barely advances their performance in their CPUs
and the small like $1b settlement intel had to pay AMD after 3 or 4 years of underhanded marketing was too small a drop in the bucket after being fucked
while keeping prices artificially high even for capable last gen CPUs
and Nvidia screwing everyone as much as they can with their GPUs
Now I am sadface.
anyways the prices of the 470 and 480 are high here
i just dont know which to get
Wait a while
the stores are taking a nice cut of the cake
it will stabilize tm
if the courts really wanted to do something to give AMD a chance to get back into the market after intel pushed them out for so long by discounting their products for OEMs and paying them to avoid AMD products when AMD was ahead of intel, they really should have made the payout in the $10b - $20b range, because intel was making that every year AMD was being fucked.
heeey AMD wouldnt have had a much better CPU now if they got that in revenue
Obviously Intel was just the best at R&D
:3
lol
Lesson is simple
No money for R&D?
Nothing will change
There is this fun fact
Consoles keep picking AMD
the APUs are a very cheap effective part to use for the consoles
Not only that the reason NVIDIA is fucked is AMDs x86 license
with lower level APIs like dx12 becoming the norm, and console devs having to only program for a single part, optimization for a part like that is simple to get done
Intel can't really team up with NVIDIA to make a console
that would cost too much I'd assume
Well I mean, look at something like the ps1, it was just this weak tiny processing unit
Would be high end "steam box" territory?
so first
If developers were refining and optimizing as much as they were in the ps1 and ps2 days for the hardware in the ps4 and xbone, the games would look like real life
