intel hd 4600 i think and 870M
Funny how everyone says it's amd that has the issues, but my 7950 was perfect.
Maybe because it's older I didn't have any issues.
Hopefully my new shit will work
RX 470
Inb4 dont
it's not going to work
But well, the experience can vary alot, depending on what you typically play
I tried on old ATI cards using the open xorg and it worked fine
Well, I just meant on Linux. Ayy I got an rx 470 on the way. Missed out on the gigabyte one because retarded waitfag. So I jumped on the msi one.
Bought the sapphire one since MSI isnt in stock before some days
My 7950 has been fucking faithful to me though, man.
about the same performance anyway
I've always had Sapphire cards. But I wanted one with an 8 pin power connector. Only brands that did that were gigabyte, powercolor and msi. The Asus ones were in stock for days since apparently Noone wants them.
What
1 x 8-pin AUX Power Connector
says so on the item I ordered
For a Sapphire rx470?
Oh well, it's been out of stock this whole time.
Well here it was in stock the MSI one was like arrives new stock 6 August
So the most logical choice was Sapphire am I right?
You got a 4 or 8 GB?
Don't see the point in saving some money on the 4 GB model
gotta have those nicer textures
Didn't see the point on paying an extra 50$ on the 8gb.
Yeah the 4 GB should be good enough if you are happy with normal textures
But if you want higher ones you need more memory
I plan on this just being a placeholder card anyways, the 7950 is going into a build for my nephew.
So you waiting for HBM2 cards?
Kinda yeah.
AMD might be able to actually compete with Intel soon
As Intel can't really upgrade much more with current CPUs
but AMD can
I also needed one to play with for research on future builds a friend and I are planning.
Gonna try and make some monies building computers on the side.
Did you see that video from the closed viewing amd had?
Zen 8 core engineering sample was a hair faster than 6900k in a blender image rendering clock for clock @3ghz.
Kind of an obscure benchmark though.
