New batteries for Aliex are about NZD$20 each

2016-09-25 22:20:00 UTC

sounds like a pain in the ass

2016-09-25 22:20:06 UTC

it's hardware issues mostly

2016-09-25 22:20:12 UTC

Battery?

2016-09-25 22:20:17 UTC

yeah

2016-09-25 22:20:23 UTC

Or some chip in the phone mobo not reporting it?

2016-09-25 22:20:31 UTC

battery drain due to android not being coded for the intel processor

2016-09-25 22:20:32 UTC

It might be a protection circuit

2016-09-25 22:20:44 UTC

cyanogenmod works though

2016-09-25 22:21:00 UTC

I could reflash in Cyanogen for these phones and it won't be shit?

2016-09-25 22:21:05 UTC

also it seems mobo failure is common too

2016-09-25 22:21:13 UTC

cyanogen seems to take care of some of the issues

2016-09-25 22:21:16 UTC

Take a look at this then

2016-09-25 22:21:28 UTC

I can pull my bids out if I want

2016-09-25 22:21:36 UTC

>pawnstar

2016-09-25 22:21:43 UTC

I used to live in NZ

2016-09-25 22:21:51 UTC

I remember going into pawnstar to check shit out

2016-09-25 22:21:53 UTC

good times

2016-09-25 22:21:56 UTC

It just seems for a phone that's Atom, 4GB RAM 32GB ROM, it's worth it

2016-09-25 22:22:11 UTC

For a NZD$20 fix, it could be OK

2016-09-25 22:23:11 UTC

according to /g/ archives zenfone 2s are shit

2016-09-25 22:23:26 UTC

tbh I'd rather not waste my time on one

2016-09-25 22:23:27 UTC

Link that please?

2016-09-25 22:24:41 UTC

@Aerkusa yo thanks for helping me out

2016-09-25 22:25:07 UTC

11hrs for 60% is ok

2016-09-25 22:25:20 UTC

the xda link wasn't of much help but i somehow managed to get to the chink eMMC reset menu

2016-09-25 22:25:34 UTC

Np @Dra bro

2016-09-25 22:26:03 UTC

yeah

2016-09-25 22:26:12 UTC

zenfone 2 looks like a meme phone

2016-09-25 22:26:16 UTC

that turns out to be actually shit

2016-09-25 22:26:18 UTC

How can cm fix issues with atom if the issues are in aosp?

2016-09-25 22:27:00 UTC

Or do you mean cm fixes issues over stock?

2016-09-25 22:27:16 UTC

Stock/factory rom

2016-09-25 22:27:18 UTC

"I bought the Asus Zenphone 2 laser
After 2 months it got a battery glitch where it wouldn't charge. It would detect itself as full at 60% and die at 40% even though android would report the 40% and 60% correctly."

2016-09-25 22:27:21 UTC

Oh wow

2016-09-25 22:27:32 UTC

I've had the same problem with G3

2016-09-25 22:27:37 UTC

Stuck with my Zenfone 2 for almost a year without any news for 6.0 update, the intel chipset was horribly optimized with the software. Not to mention that Asus skin was shit, slow and heavy as fuck.

Never buy Asus phones ever again

2016-09-25 22:27:45 UTC

Got one with a medicore battery

2016-09-25 22:27:51 UTC

I had a Zenfone 2. Out of the box the screen and body had weird alignment issues. When thing felt very cheap. Then there was the bloat and shitty Intel processor. Then there was being stuck on lollipop forever. Then the screen died. Then there were no customer service reps who spoke English natively and then there were the cryptic emails asking for my credit card number to have on file in case I didn't send in my broken phone after they issued a replacement. Then the replacement broke too.

Fuck Asus.
