I'd just like to interject for moment. What you're refering to as Windows, is in fact, Spyware/Windows, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Spyware plus Windows. Windows is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning Spyware system made useful by the Spyware corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many computer users run a modified version of the Spyware system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of Spyware which is widely used today is often called Windows, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the Spyware system, developed by the Spyware Project.

There really is a Windows, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Windows is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Windows is normally used in combination with the Spyware operating system: the whole system is basically Spyware with Windows added, or Spyware/Windows. All the so-called Windows distributions are really distributions of Spyware/Windows.

I'd just like to interject for moment. What you're refering to as ubuntu, is in fact, gentoo/ubuntu, or as I've recently taken to calling it, gentoo plus ubuntu. ubuntu is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning gentoo system made useful by the gentoo corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many computer users run a modified version of the gentoo system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of gentoo which is widely used today is often called ubuntu, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the gentoo system, developed by the gentoo Project.

I'd just like to interject for moment. What you're refering to as mint, is in fact, arch/mint, or as I've recently taken to calling it, arch plus mint. mint is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning arch system made useful by the arch corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many computer users run a modified version of the arch system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of arch which is widely used today is often called mint, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the arch system, developed by the arch Project.
