If you have fast internet
if you consider 80-90 megabit fast
generaly yes if you have wireless network devices what support it and are used in scenarios what need speed
for tablets and such they are irrelevant pretty much
but for laptops etc they actualy might have some benefits
I mostly use a laptop and my current phone which is mi 9t
Laptop will probably see difference unless its old like mine
On my phone I didn't notice any difference
who ever does FTP/Torrents on their phone should be beaten to hell and so on and so forth
Only thing I noticed on my phone was shittier connection coverage
(obviously emerency FTP stuff is normalish)
I am more interested in streaming on my laptop and phone tbh
yeah 5.whatever ghz has quite bit worse penetration
higher freq = worse penetration?
Yes
yes*
*some exemptions apply
Cut out a coke can to strengthen coverage in one direction

^dont
also if you mean streaming stuff your normal "N" network is good enough for almost any stuff
I don't know if my laptop will support 5ghz
also torrenting stuff when I am too lazy to get up and go to my desktop
nvm it might work
basically I have a 2.4ghz router/modem provided by my internet provider in my living room but I want to get another 5ghz router so I can be lazy and torrent and stream stuff in bed on my laptop or just stream stuff on my phone (in the highest possible quality obviously)
If you have a modem/router combo then you should benefit from having a dedicated router, yes
Unless you have a good combo unit but usually isps don't provide good ones
