the program not the computer, i mean
Have you tried the troubleshooter?
It automates some of the previous steps you'd manually try at the command-line

the big fuck off heatsink case is here
gonna go to letterbox to get it
these thermal pads are complete garbage
falling apart so easily
cannot find the thermal paste in my house
one of the heatsink part didn't match up with the LSI controller
i pulled a book off my bookshelf the other day
and a tube of thermal paste was sitting on top of it

1080p youtube and it's holding at 40-42c
not bad
@PoliteSuka What's the heat sink for?
cause Pi4 hot
Oh, Pi 4?
shame the heatsink pads are junk
I have one in the mail to replace the Pi 3 we're using as a PiHole; it's throttling our internet from the USB speed.
I got one of those fan shims or whatever they're called.
I do like how this case doesn't block the POE Hat
Apparently work better than a heat sink. Unless you got that sweet meme tower cooler.
Thought it was gonna
might just steal some from some junk gpus I have lying around
got a heap of spare old gpus ina box in my room
that might work out
What are you talking about?
salvaging some thermal pads from old gpus to pad the space of these shitty preincluded ones
I mean, almost any pasty stuff will do as long as its on thin. If nothing else, run the board bare for a while, it was built to handle it. Order some proper pads in the meantime.
Yeah, honestly, just run it bare for a bit.
Like the CPU has contact on the pad, but not the ram, and I cannot confirm the LSI controller
Gonna try rebooting with a basic overclock
1.75GHz and 600MHz GPU
use toothpaste as a temporary paste
that's actually not the worst idea
