XU4 has recommended 5V4A and (5v6A when usb3 HDD)
Actual draw tho <:pepeturt:499291994649133067> someday
Hello, I'm a retard. I got everything I needed for a diy solar panel, decided against buying tabbing wire because lol it's just a nickel strip. Tried doing it with 0.5mm copper wire, shit was fuck, too thick, pain in the ass to tin the wire, too stiff, cells broke. Ok, wanted to do it quick, bought a nickel strip locally. Of course it was too hard to do proper research and it's a plain nickel strip, not a tinned one. Too wide, too, so I had to cut it with scissors. Managed to tab 4 cells out of 36 needed before ragequitting and ordering proper tabbing wire from China
so yeah time to get that amp-meter and strap it to that TV
to check the thing
I just wanted a fucking solar panel for summer
Now it's gonna be ready for winter
be cheap get cheap
:D
Yeah
Since it was relatively simple to tin the nickel wire, I think I won't have many problems with tabbing cells with proper wire
So now I'm eyeing bigger cells
Not like the sun stops existing in the winter.
Can get a surprising amount of energy from solar panels in the winter.
muh solar power
oh look
the boomer fears renewable energy
ghostwriter.
@androidcrawler im all for renewable energy but allocating huge plots of land just for solar panels is a massive waste of space
the efficiency is increasing
the tech is just too new and expensive to make, only reason people get them is because of massive government grants
nuclear is good for a constant reliable source
I'm not making a solar house or anything jesus what the fuck
but solar is better for long term i think
Just 2 15W panels
its not efficiency issue solely its the panel lifetime issue too
And yeah, maybe in the US where there are barren tracts of wasteland that are sunny and warm but atvthat point the sheer acreage is going to destroy the suprisingly fragile ecosystem
like wtf is this
you wanna use it for something else?
thats solar farm on areas where its actualy profitable
(for example death valley)
Solars are not a waste of space if you just y'know put them on roofs
this @spaqin
not on roads tho
@Kimichiboi i do agree on that on most scenarios tho .. they should be forcing use of building roofs for it
Nature preserve, you start fuckong with water in that region and youre going to have a bad time.
we can replace the current glass on buildings with panels too
the next 10 years are going to be terrible for renewable energy
even more hit on the "glass solar panels" would be on the insulation they give while at it
