one hour ride ffs
it used to be 50 but they lowered the deal
prices seem alright, here it's around 15 to go to brussels from antwerp and back
for adults my old work travel would have costed 60-120 depending on how early i know i was needed
I feel you on the sleeper train slowley dying.
:D
(plane flight was usualy 40 or 60 if i was on time
I really cant justify one and a half days if travel when I could get a flight cheaper and be done in 4 hours
id love to travel so long travels
longest i have taken was special train what was from top of laplands tracks to helsinki
paid 80 happily from that sleeper seat (230 for average joes would have been the price)
this website is a great source for trips by train
i'm dutch, we have the best train network in the entire world
but it's expensive as shit

Trains are the worst of both world as you cant stop when you want to unless youre vancleef https://youtu.be/o1DcFhaCCwI
all went downhill when they privatised the shit
i stll have small dream of conquering the trans-siberia line from end to end
but daamn the tickets cost
beijing to moscow and from there to france train trip would be fucking amazeballs
buuut doshhhhh
It wont get better as they will retain the same dipshits who let it get bad. Privatized or public it doesnt matter if the people there dont care and hate thier job but refuse to quit
GroenLinks baby
they always advertise with "only 5% of all trains are late!" and shit but then don't conveniently mention that 15 minutes is the threshold they used
majority of connections are 5 minutes apart or so
so often you enter the station a minute or two late and have to run across multiple platforms so you can watch your train leave
I really liked taking public transport when I was visiting Stockholm
always on time and relatively cheap
hell i would have connections for cheaper trans-sib train too these days.. i just realised
i need to reach out for that shit tho
16 days of train travel tho
just the transsib and then the moscow > france (or berlin or or or ) added 7 days +-
i'd like to go amsterdam>moscow>beijing>shanghai sometime
ooh yeah true you could add shanghai to that too
just switch trains there
yeah plus it's a direct high-speed connection between beijing and shanghai
and obviously when nkorea becomes freekorea
iirc it's a 4 hour ride or so
you can take that route there and skip chinkland pretty much
