It's just there's some seriously over powering spices in some recipes and suddenly like 5 grams of some random shit

most chinese recipes are pretty basic ingredients (to them)

so where sichuan peppers or spice blends might be hard to find for us, its literally like salt and pepper to them

they dont often use just spices, the idea of a cabinet full of spices is pretty rare. most of them use special blends of spices or use special flavored sauces/oils instead

and of course use a lot of black vinegar and soy sauce

when she came to america she tried some habanero chicken wings

and was fucking dying and crying and couldnt handle it
