some cut off charging after a certain percentage to avoid overcharging and charge slower, which i better for overall battery life

2019-09-18 12:28:07 UTC

Yeah I have a shitty Iphine and the battery has turned to shit due to cord charging

2019-09-18 12:28:26 UTC

2019-09-18 12:35:17 UTC

Yeah I know

2019-09-18 12:35:20 UTC

Got it Bogo

2019-09-18 12:35:43 UTC

Told my wife I’m getting a Xiaomi next

2019-09-18 13:42:03 UTC

What do you mean cord charging turn battery to shit?

2019-09-18 13:49:14 UTC

Got scammed on ebay when buying a microSD card, I asked for a refund and the seller wants me to send it back. Do I actually have to seeing as it's fake and it's been opened?

2019-09-18 14:09:14 UTC

@makhar wireless chargers will turn off when it's done charging, cords will keep trickling power into the battery and decrease the lifespan

2019-09-18 14:09:40 UTC

Using a fast charger to charge your phone overnight is the ultimate meme

2019-09-18 14:16:06 UTC

^

2019-09-18 14:16:32 UTC

I'm absolutely baffled at people using them + unplugging every single time when it's full because "it's better for the battery"

2019-09-18 14:17:00 UTC

And then wondering why they have shitty battery life after a year or less

2019-09-18 14:17:18 UTC

just do the ultra chad technique

2019-09-18 14:17:26 UTC

always have your phone plugged in

2019-09-18 14:17:43 UTC

if you're out, connect it to a power bank

2019-09-18 14:18:15 UTC

Miband coming in today

2019-09-18 14:18:37 UTC

Ultra Chad technique is using a phone with a user replaceable battery @Semi Truck mc Clusterfuck

2019-09-18 14:19:52 UTC

A phone that takes 18650s

2019-09-18 14:20:21 UTC

Be still my heart

2019-09-18 14:21:46 UTC

Does it still exist though?

2019-09-18 14:21:56 UTC

I mean decently powered/recent

2019-09-18 14:22:09 UTC

Someone should bully Strange Parts into modifying flagship phones to accept some kind of standard battery

2019-09-18 14:22:53 UTC

I could maybe get my phone to take 18650s

2019-09-18 14:23:00 UTC

but it would be bulky af

2019-09-18 14:23:36 UTC

@Semi Truck mc Clusterfuck 18650s are NOT bulky

2019-09-18 14:23:50 UTC

Apologize to 18650-Chan, now

2019-09-18 14:24:01 UTC

He meant thicc

2019-09-18 14:30:49 UTC

@Matthew yes they are

2019-09-18 14:31:38 UTC

It'd be cool to have one with an 18650 cell you could replace, then maybe a built in 500maH or something you could enable so you don't lose power in the few seconds it takes to swap batteries

2019-09-18 14:33:08 UTC

It's a shame laptop batteries aren't filled with 18650

2019-09-18 14:33:33 UTC

Those were the days

2019-09-18 14:33:50 UTC

Only some extended batteries for ThinkPads and latitudes have that iirc

2019-09-18 14:35:03 UTC

I'm not a handlet so I wouldn't even mind how much thiccer the phone would be to accommodate it

2019-09-18 14:35:41 UTC

Could make a nice bulge on the back you could nuzzle as a grip, or use as a kickstand

2019-09-18 14:36:09 UTC

but having it in your pocket would be uncomfortable as fuck

2019-09-18 14:38:00 UTC

Gonna turn a Laptop LCD display into a professional photography light šŸ˜„

2019-09-18 14:38:43 UTC

@Semi Truck mc Clusterfuck try not being a skinny-jeans wearing /fa/ggot šŸ’

2019-09-18 14:40:08 UTC

with the liquid crystal pixel layer removed, they can be quite bright, and because of the Fresnel layers the backlight is made of, it can imitate sunlight quite well

2019-09-18 14:41:06 UTC

is /fa/ even a board?, @Matthew
