I might buy it in May or so
Think I'll have much luck selling a Noctigon Meteor now that the new Emisars exist?
I'll take it for 10 dollars and a $30 jcpenny gift card i still have from christmas.
Hey lads, do NOT buy this cable. It is straight up House Fire tier
I set my phone to charge and was watching TV, and after about 20 minutes I smelled something burning. Turn around and the part of my couch it was on was smoking slightly.
If I had gone to sleep while this was charging like I was originally planning to, I'd probably be dead now
I almost got Top k(ek)'d
So yeah, TOPK is now firmly in the "untrusted brand" category for me now
I don't buy anything except for the round power only ones, but TOPK is my brand of choice for those.
I still dont get the actual convenience added by magnetic cables
But good to confirm that my choice of avoiding data cables was smart
Is it .5 seconds faster to connect it to the cable and people care about this
Yes. I gotta buy cables anyways, why not faster ones?
And they act as safe breakaway cables, with no risk of breaking off a plug
The more variables added the more chances of chang burning my house down
Also good to plugin in the dark.
Saves wear and tear on the port, too.
That's a big one. Acts as a dust cover too. I had to clean lint out of my HTC 10s USB-C port twice.
Also, the same cable will work for my USB-C and micro USB devices, as well as my friends Apple devices.
The dust cover is probably the only tangible benefit to me but i have about a thousand fucking cables to break first so i'll let you enjoy your memes yourselves
Maybe I just got a dud or something, or maybe my also-chinkshit charger is to blame, but for safety, I won't be using these cables again.
There's really no strong argument to be made for either side, they're just another good option.
@Matthew Probably tiny pins having shit contact area and heating up
I'd guess the charger first tbh
Depends which end heated
The business end.
Why would you ever buy non-ugreen dear
The actual plug part was too hot to pick up directly.
@Omoidasu why? One of my chinkshit-related hobbies is to buy gimmicky products, try them, and see if they ever make it to America in a more refined form.
Half the fun of /csg/ really is the gamble and the experience.
All i feel from unknown brands is regret and an empty bank account
Like the dozens of socks i have that dont fucking fit my big boi feet
I've had a few lemons, but some real gems
I once shotgun bought aux cables from i think 7 different sellers and there was one good one that no longer exists as a store on ali
Gonna throw out a salt grinder I got, but I out-chinked the chinks and got a free laser engraver.
All the others died as fast as the prices suggested
how do you fuck up an aux cable smh
The ugreen one i bought much later even seems flimsy tbh
