it is the same "model", but that might still not matter?
depends whats the problem on it
i'm willing to talk to this dear friend from ali a bit more before i do any refunding
or confirming
certain shitty vendors are known to whitelist their hardware, use drm chips on printer inks, etc etc
Hey, don't buy the Xiaomi repeater 2, they patched mi home so you can't even connect to unsecured networks
so if you're using it for drone stuff it's worthless
but yeah basicly that initial/mandatory charge time is from NiMH battery ero where the chemical structure can develop memory and other shit
i would be great with waiting for initial 8 hours of charge time if I actually knew it was charging
but yeah id rule it as broken if it does not show charging under the phone menu
or what ever device you are using
i can't even turn it on
it's as if no battery is in
did you wire it right :D
yea i just put the thing on in the same way as the old battery
i was able to put the old battery back and it worked fine (but i wanted to replace it)
(because it drained too fast)
what phone
/battery
xiaomi RN3P global, BM46
like this, but it snaps into the board just fine
and it's not loose at all
sounds like dead battery or they have some chink-magic going on there and it needs initilisation or some shit somehow somwhere
yea i'm hoping on the chink magic
i will try all the hocus pocus dear ali friend tells me but if it doesnt work they can't blame me for wanting a refund
i mean at worst its housefire sooo
they are LiPo batteries so if they somehow managed to empty the battery completly and that safety chip did not do its work
then its dead for sure
>Hello, friend, please do not worry, the battery is good, but after a long period of transport, the battery goes to sleep, You can activate the battery with a universal charger. Then it works.
<:blobconfounded:427568418107949090>
if its li-ion with proper protective circuits sure it can go to "sleep" (security shutdown to prevent over discharge)
yea but i don't see the charging progress bar, isn't that kinda a thing you should see when you plug it in
but that usualy means they wont wake up ever again
he says "try charging for 8 hours" lol
but it's not shown to be charging
i'll do it anyway and after 8 hours if it still doesn't work he has no excuse
and taking that leap of faith to try ressurect "sleeping" li-ion would need booster function on battery charger/analyzer to have chance to wake it up from sub 2.9v state
yea and i doubt a universal charger has that 2.9 v thing
basicly the analyzers trick the chip to "yes yes we fine here full charge mate" untill the charger has managed to charge it to operating levels
