Was about to say that @timsandtoms was scammed by liitokala but the man himself beat me to it
seems they only got good chargers, eh?
I still have the batteries, and from what little I've tested they aren't BAD cells, but when they're sketchy about them, even if they DID publish specs, I wouldn't trust them. I use them for my lower draw lights, like when using 4 cells in the BLF Q8, or solo in D4S/GT Mini. They don't ever go in any of the D4.
Oh, yeah, their chargers are supposed to be great.
Only testing I was able to do on the batteries was testing on a SkyRC MC3000, and they did ok, worse than legit ones, but if someone gave me them and just said they were legit 30Qs/VTC6 that they'd used regularly for a bit I wouldn't really question.
@timsandtoms maybe there's fake Liitokala about
@Tribit like fake chargers? Or knock-off of their batteries? Because their batteries are already knock-offs.
how many batteries did u buy
and from what store
because i remember reading somewhere that there were two liitokala stores on ali and one sold fakes but i could be remembering rong
Not many, just a pair of VTC6 and 4x 30Q, but they were listed as "Sony" or "Samsung", not the "for Sony" or "for Samsung" they usually try to trick you with. Any big Liitokala store was doing it at the time, I don't know if some went legit or not.
so fake stores will say for sony or for samsung?
If it says "for BRAND" on a frequently counterfeited item, 100% it will be a counterfeit.
@timsandtoms maybe both, I use Liitokala in my Gongtian fan
Mine come with a little qr code sticker
If it says "BRAND", read the description REALLY carefully, because they might try to hide it there. If every mention of it seems legit... It might still be fake, but the odds are better.
@Tribit Same.
Maybe there's fake Liitokala batteries
There's fake Xiaomi stuff too
The wrapping was different, and the vent holes on top were different on the 30Qs. I didn't do much verification on the VTC6, they looked different than my legit ones, but I didn't hunt down every spec online to confirm since I had received other fakes in the same order.
aside from physical structure, check resistance
and weight
@Tribit What do you mean fake Liitokala? Liitokala batteries ARE the fake ones. They try to make them pass as 30Qs
fakes will have higher internal resistance and ligther weight
Protip - to measure max current, short the cell with your multimeter in current mode!
Works best if you replaced the fuse with a metal bolt

wish me luck

"bite into it"
The lighter weight thing kinda varies. Sometimes they will for REALLY shitty cells, because they're actually hollow with a tiny cell inside. The Liitokala were actual 18650s, good ones, just not the good ones I ordered.
reported for malicious advice giving behaviour
you can expect a visit from the british police soon enough
actually my meter is only rated for 10A DC
Lol
Consider the knock offs more eco friendly dude. Less lithium mined from our earth
