an example of words changing meaning between cultures....holocaust to lefties that taught us in school was to mean mass destruction of life(genocide)
but the word holocaust was around way longer than ww2, so was genocide...so why use 'holocaust' instead of genocide
holocaust in old english prior to start of the 20th century meant 'great exposure'
