Colt pulling out of the Civilian AR market is no great loss. Their Upper and Lowers were not Mil Spec. During the earlier Assault Weapons Ban, They changed the Pin size and Mating Curve of thier Castings.

@Bucko and there are so many custom shops out there making better ARs. It’s akin to asking why doesn’t Chevy make the Astro van anymore?

@Cha0s Mil-Spec is a Standard. I own a Colt purchased during the first Assault Ban. Barrel is not threaded for a Muzzel break and the Baronet Lug is removed. Now add the fact that the pins don't align with Mil-Spec. I think my Point is made.

@Bucko heck yeah. There are 200+ companies out there doing it right. Also, wasn’t AR’s patent still in place in the 90s when you got yours?

@Cha0s Not sure on the AR Patent. I have to buy a compensator, front site and a Die. That should get it back to A2 Standard at least.
