Yes, that makes more sense than punishing innocent lives for who they were born to.
Children don't choose who parents them.
No I said I do not see grandchildren paying any price for the sins of their grandparents when their own parents rebelled against the grandparent.
Same thing, really. Generation removed or not, it doesn't follow that a child should pay for their lineage.
Yes but total sense if we are a horrid person we would be reincarnated to pay the price ourself.
Well, yes, but that's our own doing. Not our parents.
I am not saying a good person would be reincarnated. No they would be resurrected to know and follow God
If we are born in horrid circumstances, we likely deserved it. But to simply be born into a horrid family and must pay simply for being born into it, for no other reason than simply being born, is ludicrous and I honestly don't agree with it.
Though how ressurection works is unknown.
I believe Karma to be a real factor in suffering.
I am not saying there is enough scripture for us to make any kind of final decision on what is meant.
For me it helped me reconcile people born as sex slaves and such.
There are a lot of holes that must be filled, in some way. Such as the missing years of Jesus.
You're not wrong to wonder
Yes how did he learn how to be whom he was. That is a lot of missing unexplained time.
There was no rule you had to be 30 to do anything in the Old Testament. Some prophets became one at a very young age like Isaiah.
There are some claims to what he did, but is largely dismissed and unaccepted. But just because something is unaccepted or dismissed, doesn't mean it's false because of such. Take the flat earth vs globe earth. Most of the world denies flat earth, or they did. But simply denying it, doesn't make it false.
I think the reason people are born in horror derived from the fact that previous generations with free will have made decisions that has led to a corrupt and unequal/unjust world
Most people, who accept that he traveled, seem to think Jesus traveled to India during the lost years.
"Jesus was likely a member of the Jewish sect the Essennes (many of his teachings parallel theirs), and he was a rabbi. To be a rabbi back then, the process is somewhat different than now, but generally one is required to go through a rigorous training process, and one spends a long time as a disciple to other rabbis before they can become a rabbi themselves. It's a matter of training time. Jesus likely spent most of the thirty years as a disciple in training.
When did Jesus started his ministry?"
There are actually people in India and China who claim Jesus traveled from there and came back later. I wish we knew more but they do not tell all that much.
Paul was an Essennes at least he led a group of them through the Temple to settle the dispute with Peter and other Jews who put him on trial.
Think Samson was as well.
That actually makes sense, if you use certain scriptures from both the Bible *and* Bhagavad Gita.
*"none come to the father except through me"*
Well, in the Bhagavad Gita, it says that those who do not have true understanding, must find a spiritual master to teach them and only then, can they understand God and meet with him, either upon death or otherwise.
So, if Jesus did travel India, it would make sense that he became a spiritual master and declared that no shall understand God or come to God, except through him. Likely because the people of the region had no understanding of Vedic philosophy.
Makes a lot of sense to me. Some in China were very much like Abrahamic people. Living more or less like Jews. Most of this is just hidden from us so it is hard to research.
That, it very much is.
@🍄The Mad Philosopher🍄 that piece about a spiritual master sounds like divine right to rule for religious institutions. A tool to enforce the Caste System.
Possibly
This is all faith
No one can know for certain
Many modern Indians say this is just British colonial propaganda
I've had legendary arguments on Quora over this
What is most important to me is people being kind to other people. We should not tell them they are going to Hell or tell them they are a pagan. We should get along and try to help them understand what makes us good. When we instead attack it makes them not want to believe anything we say.
wdym
by attacking people
My belief is Christmas is a pagan ritual. However that does not make a single Christian a pagan.
christmas is the birth of christ...
how does that make it pagan?
I do not do Christmas in any way. But I will go to homes with a Christmas tree in them and no progblem.
and people celebrate the holidays sepreate ways
